Jay attempts to haul a 95,000 pound diamond-ore cutter across a lake of ice; a safety inspector investigates an accident that involved T.J.; Rick runs the risk of getting frostbite when he drives without heat in his truck; Hugh witnesses a fuel tanker go through the ice.
Another edge of seat show, at least for me. They all make me nervous, the only ice I normally see is in my tea.

I caught this on Sunday. Made me nervous too. Those guys have to be crazy to drive that route, especially carrying loads as heavy as they do. But the frozen lakes and whatnot I'm used to are probably no where near as thick as I assume the ice is there.
And I like how it's below zero and some of the guys don't even wear coats.

Less Hugh this week which was good. ( grumpy old fart - But I do relate)
I wonder if Jay's 95,000 lb. load weakened the ice enough for the tanker truck to fall through? Does Rick quit? What do you think?
My definition of cold is way different than theirs. Much higher.

I haven't watched the show enough to know each of the truckers, so I don't know if Rick will quit or not. Hopefully I can catch a marathon soon. I'd love to see the first 5 episodes.
I wouldn't be surprised, though, if the 95,000 lb. load causes the ice to weaken. That's a huge amount of weight to support, plus the weight of the truck.

You can see a mini documentary about each trucker on the History Channel website if you care.
