"IF I CAN DREAM" is the first of a new generation of post reality entertainment. It will document the authentic story of five young people who dream of success in Hollywood, revealing every moment of triumph and struggle along the way. "IF I CAN DREAM" will allow viewers to interact with the individuals and narrative in real time and offer open access to an entertainment experience in a way that has not been attempted before.
"IF I CAN DREAM" will launch across multiple platforms including online, radio, TV and mobile handsets from early 2010. It will be seen live 24/7 at www.ificandream.com with a recap show available for viewers around the world at the end of each week. The project will be produced by Simon Fuller's 19 Entertainment, a fully owned subsidiary of CKX, Inc. (Nasdaq: CKXE), and partnered by a ground breaking distribution platform that combines Hulu with Clear Channel (radio/digital) and MySpace (online). "IF I CAN DREAM" is supported by PepsiCo and Ford Motor Company.
"IF I CAN DREAM" will give viewers a documentary-like look at what it takes to achieve success and recognition in Hollywood in 2010. The viewer will watch as an initial group of five young people - a musician, an actor, two actresses and a model - leave their hometowns and live together high up in the Hollywood Hills. Their every move will be streamed live online as they rehearse, write music, socialize and plan their careers. Innovative camera and sensor technology will allow a global audience to interact with the aspiring performers through text, blogs, MySpace, twitter and facebook as the action unfolds in real-time--something that has never been attempted on a global scale before.
