The scene opens in Miami Florida in 2004 where a man steals a watch and keys from a man’s coat pocket. He goes out to the parking lot and finds the car and makes a copy of the key. He reenters the club and hands back the keys to a girl dancing with the guy and she puts them in his coat. He drives off in the car and takes it to an Auto Body Shop. However, he finds that a man named Orlando and his associate is there and Orlando says that he is taking the entire operation. He kills the man’s friend and the man jumps through a window. He goes into the Marshall’s office and goes under witness protection. The man’s name is Riley Barnett. The scene changes to present day and Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann walk with Stan McQueen who says that Mary needs to give up her Mustang because it draws too much attention. She tells that she doesn’t want to. However, when Marshall is having trouble sitting in it, she decides to trade it in.

They go to a car lot where Peter shows her the old mustang that she had. She is in love with it and Brandi comes in cheering that she has a client. Mary doesn’t believe her sister can change. A salesman comes in the office and says that they have just had six cars stolen off the lot. Later, Brandi and Peter talk to the police when Abigail Chaffey drives up. Mary doesn’t think that she is serious and Abigail introduces herself as the new head of the police department. Marshall tells that there is nothing wrong with Abigail giving coffee to her co-workers. Mary pulls Brandi to the side and asks if she had anything to do with the car theft, given her past of a car theft charge. Brandi tries to tell that was only in high school, but Mary says that the police are not going to see that. Brandi tells that Peter proposed to her. She says that she doesn’t want to ruin it with her past. Brandi asks if Mary could call anyone. Meanwhile, Stan interviews a new member of WINSEC. However, he is having a hard time. Mary calls and asks if they can go off the grid. He says that he doesn’t have a choice, but allow it and gives his permission.
Mary and Marshall go to a Country Club to meet up with a witness. Marshall tells that Abigail is a good person and Mary says that she is going to be a handful with everything. He points out that they are going to try to clear or confirm Mary’s sister. Mary tells that she doesn’t think that Marshall and Abigail are the right pair for each other and he says that she is one to talk. They go up to Riley Barnett and Mary asks him for a favor. He says that for a fee, he will do it. He also needs medical help too. Later, Riley thanks Mary for the depression pills and tells that he doesn’t know how this happened to him. Mary drives and talks to Riley about the car thefts and he says that there are many possible ways that the criminals could have stolen the cars and says that they definitely had an inside person. Mary doesn’t like the sound of that. He says that they need to find out how the criminals broke the Anti-Theft system and then it will be clear. She relocates Riley for a temporary stay and thanks for the information. Meanwhile, Brandi and Peter have Peter’s parents over for dinner. Peter’s dad pulls out a prenuptial agreement for Brandi to sign. Peter is outraged and Brandi tells that she has no problem signing anything. However, Abigail comes in and tells Brandi to come down to the station.
Peter and Mary wait for Brandi to come out and Mary asks Abigail if she has enough evidence to think that Brandi had anything to do with the auto theft. She tells that she was only asking Brandi questions. Mary tells that Brandi is the innocent one in this and that there is always a guy involved. Abigail tells that they are following the leads. Brandi walks out and tells Peter that she doesn’t want to make his parents think that she is a criminal and says that she is calling off the engagement. Mary tells Peter that she will talk to her. Later at the house, Mary talks to Brandi and she tells that the prenumptial agreement stated that she will get $1 Million if the marriage ends before 5 years and more if it lasts longer. Mary says that it is a sweet deal that she is getting into. However, Brandi says that if she signs it, then Peter’s parents know that they can’t trust her. She says that she doesn’t need to be married and Mary sarcastically tells her that it would be better living with her. Brandi says that she has changed and that she isn’t the way she used to be. She goes to the room and realizes that there is no bed in the room. Mary apologizes.

The next day, Mary gets a call from the FBI saying that they had a case in Oklahoma City saying that it is the same type of theft. Two Samoans are the suspects. Mary sees Stan interviewing and she puts a sign that she doesn’t love new guys. Stan asks how things are going with Brandi and says that he wants them to keep him updated. Brandi gets into work and says that she is there to do her job. She asks if Peter apologized to his parents and says that she is not going to break up the family. She walks up to a potential customer. It is Riley. She says that he doesn’t need to bother looking at the sticker price because it is basically a steal. Meanwhile, Mary and Marshall talk to an FBI agent that shows the photos of the two Samoans. The informant is dead. At headquarters, Stan meets with Deputy and she tells that she brought muffins. She says that she wants to meet with Mary and get to know her. He says that he doesn’t think that will happen, but the Deputy says that he will make it happen.
Later at a restaurant, Mary and Marshall sit down and Marshall gets a text that says that security tape shows Brandi leaving last from the dealership. Mary says that Brandi can’t be involved. Riley pulls up in the sports car that he was eyeballing at the salon and tells Mary that he knows how they took off in the cars. He says that Brandi was talking about the ignition codes and gave him her password as well. He says that he found lead putty on the GPS to jam the signal. There is salt mixed in the lead putty. Suddenly the police show up and Marshall tells Mary to protect her witness and he will deal with the police. Marshall comes out and Abigail tells them to stand down because it is only her boyfriend. He is surprised and asks if it is official. He says that he solved her case and gives her the lead. They drive out to the location of the salt mine that Marshall knows about and when they get there, Marshall and Mary are shot at. They chase down a car and eventually, Abigail rams into it. One of the Samoans shoots Abigail in the shoulder and before he can shoot her again, Mary rams into the car again. Later the ambulance comes and Mary tells that she wants to tell her that she is really nice for Marshall.

Later that day, Peter and Mary come in and she tells Brandi that she wants her off her sofa. Peter tells Brandi that he apologized to his parents. He is about to burn the prenuptial agreement, but Brandi tells that she doesn’t want his parents to think that she married Peter for the money. Marshall and Mary go to the Country Club again and give Riley the “finder’s fee” and realize that he has a new sports car. However, he says that he is only working as a Valet. She gives him the envelope and ask if the pills that he got are helping. He says that he never needed them and that Mary was the pills that he needed. They get back to the station and Stan disciplines them for not checking in. He says that there is a new member to the WINSEC team. Deputy Delia Parmalee comes out and gives them muffins. Mary tries to protest against it, but Stan tells that it is a new regime. Marshall asks Mary what she is going to do without anyone to protect. The episode ends with Riley getting into a car with a woman who rubs his leg, Delia making herself welcome, Peter and Brandi enjoying the company, Marshall and Abigail enjoying a date and Mary sitting with a cup of coffee watching a news report of a man in a hot air balloon in the shape of a tooth.
