<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The scene opens in Minnesota three months earlier. A man sneaks into the office of Rand Bachmann. He opens the safe and takes out a laptop. He takes picture with his phone of the bank account information and sends it. He exits the office and gets a call from his son. He says that he got into college and that he is very excited. Suddenly there is the sound of a car crash and the line goes dead. At the scene of the crime, the son is trying to get his mother to wake up, but she is dead. Mary Shannon and Marshall Mann arrive at the airport to put the man and his son into WITSEC. The boy, who Mary addresses to as Joey, says goodbye to his girlfriend. The man’s name is Adam Wilson and Joey and him are being rerouted to Albuquerque. Marshall and Mary get into the office and the Attorney is not happy that the contract that Adam is signing. Adam says that he wants his wife’s murder investigated. He says that he knows Bachmann was behind it and they need to find out. To keep the piece, Mary tells Adam that everything is going to be in the contract and they all can get out of there.

Flash-forward to present day, Mary is having issues with her coffee maker when Brandi comes in and helps her. She tells that she has a favor to ask. She wants Mary to be her MOH, Maid of Honor. Mary tells that she is flattered, but she tells that there is a better candidate for the position and offers that their mother take up the reins. Brandi says that she wants Mary there to be by her side. Mary tells that she bets that Brandi sells a lot of cars. Marshall calls and tells that Joey called and said that there is a situation at their new home. She tells that she is not going anywhere yet, but Marshall tells that he has two cups of coffee already. She meets Marshall at the house and Joey says that his dad is going crazy with the security. He shows them the boarded up window in the living room. Mary and Marshall start to believe that Adam has gone off the deep end a bit. Adam says that a car has been watching the house and that he has written down the license plate. Adam is positive that Genesis, the company that Bachmann runs, knows that he is there in Albuquerque. Joey says that he checks that there are no guns and Mary doesn’t like it.

Back at the station, Shelly comes in and Mary and Marshall tell that Adam is going a little crazy. Mary says that it is close. Stan says that it will be good to stay above this. The license plate came back and it is registered to someone in Phoenix. Marshall wonders why a car from Phoenix is in Albuquerque, but Mary tells that it is nothing. Mary gets a call from her mother and she tells her that she has not decided on it. Mary tells that she is trying to get out of being Brandi’s Maid of Honor. Delia comes over and tells that the man who hit Adam’s wife was a no show during questioning. Marshall says that the plot thickens, but Mary is not buying it yet. They go to Joey’s and see him playing basketball with some guys. They ask if he has been making friends and he says that he has been, but they don’t compare to the ones in Minnesota. He says that he is holding up, but says that Bachmann is in his dad’s head and is afraid that he will never leave. Meanwhile, Adam meets with Shelly, but tells that he is fine and doesn’t need anything.

Later, Mary gets home and throws away the old coffee maker and puts a new one on the counter. She gets a call from Adam. She tells him to sit still. Marshall and Mary arrive at the house and Adam says that men grabbed Joey and took him away in a van. However, Joey comes in and there is nothing wrong with him. He runs out and thinks that the men are still out there, but it is just the mother of the boys that Joey was playing basketball with. They put Adam into the Psychiatric Unit and Joey is not happy with it. Mary tries to console him, but she tells that she doesn’t know how he is feeling. Joey says that he has been checking up on friends in Minnesota and his girlfriend has a new boyfriend, his best friend Matt. She asks how he knows this and he says that he uses a friend’s facebook account. Mary and Shelly talk with the doctor and he says that Adam is stable now and that he should be alright now. Mary tells Shelly that drugged up witnesses make bad witnesses on the stand. She says that they don’t have to reveal this and says that they need to get Adam back with his son.

Mary, Marshall and Joey are there next to Adam. He wakes up and looks at Marshall. He says that he took away Joey in the van. He starts to hallucinate and Joey can’t take it. Mary tells him to keep it together. Adam confuses Mary for his dead wife. Joey runs out of the room and Mary tries to tell Joey that nothing is wrong, but he tells her that he doesn’t believe that. Later, Marshall tries to tell Stan that Joey is a kid. Joey opted out of the program and Stan says that he turned 18 and can do that. Delia comes in and tells that they got a video from Washington. It is a video of Bachmann. He says in the video that Adam is a fabricator of lies and that he let the position go to his head. Mary and Marshall are curious on how Bachmann knew to send it to WITSEC. Mary gets home and finds Brandi and her mother there. Her mother says that she was the problem that Mary and Brandi are not close and not Mary. She tells that she agrees and tells them that she doesn’t like to do dresses. Mary goes to the hospital and tells Adam that Joey opted out of the program. He asks where he went and Mary hints that he went back to Minnesota. Mary steps out for a moment and when she returns, Adam is gone through the ceiling.

In Minnesota, Joey meets with his now ex-girlfriend and she says that it just happened because she didn’t know that he was coming back. He tells that he needs a moment. However, when he goes to the bathroom, two men grab him. One of the men tells him to blend in and go about his business. They toss him out of the car in front of the police station. Later, Marshall and Mary get to Minnesota and talk to him. He says that the men just appeared and they didn’t mention anything. Mary and Marshall go to Bachmann, but he says that didn’t do that. He says that he knows the Police Chief. Mary doesn’t like the fact that Bachmann is friends with the Chief of Police. Bachmann shows a file of Adam’s psychotic episodes and Marshall tells Mary that Bachmann is good. Mary gets a call from Joey. He says that Adam called and that he said that he is going to make things right. They meet to strategize and Joey tells that there is a Country Club that Bachmann goes to. Mary calls up and disguises her voice in a Minnesota accent. She finds out that Bachmann is in the middle of his game. Meanwhile, Adam sneaks into the Country Club and goes up to the stairs to the Squash courts.

Marshall and Mary arrive at the Country Club and race inside. Meanwhile, Adam has a gun pointed at Bachmann and tells him to speak into the video camera and admit that he did wrong. He says that anything he says cannot be admissible in court. Mary and Marshall get in and Mary tries to convince him to put down the gun. Joey comes in and tells Adam that he believes him and that he can put the gun down. Adam agrees. Later, Stan says that all charges were dropped on Bachmann so that they could get Adam away without charges brought against him. Adam tells that there is no more reason to run now that the threat is dissolved. After they leave, Stan says that they identified the man who killed Adam’s wife and that they ruled it out as suicide. Mary gets home to find Brandi and their mother looking through wedding dress books. Mary comes up and tells her that she has picked out a dress and says that as her MOH, she has a certain duty to help. They laugh and the episode ends.
