The scene opens in Detroit one year ago. Two men talk and the older guy, Ben, offers a drink to his co-worker, Pauley. A car drives up and Ben tells Pauley to go home and says that he has it. Ben approaches the car and tells the men in the car to go inside. Ben shows that he has 100% copper for him. Pauley gets caught, shot and killed. The men ask Ben who he is and he tells that he is just a co-worker. The men tell Ben that he needs to think about their offer to move him up in the business. The next day at the Detroit FBI headquarters, Ben and his son Tom and daghter Celia are talking to Marshall and Mary and Celia can’t believe that Ben would launder money for the Lithuanian Mafia. He says that he made mistakes and needed the money. Marshall and Mary talk to the Cielia and Tom and tell that the Mafia is going to find them. However, Tom doesn’t want to enter the program and Ben tells Celia to go with Tom and his son. Ben gets the name Ben Karney and enters the WITSEC program.

Present day and Mary is home feeling sick and realizing that her shirt is not fitting her right. Brandi calls and asks if Mary has any pictures of their father and Mary tells that she doesn’t. Brandi says that Peter and her are having a video montage playing at their wedding. Mary tells that she will talk later. Mary gets into the station and tells that she doesn’t know if she is pregnant, but Marshall says that he knows that she is pregnant and needs to deal with it. Delia tells that Stan wants to meet with them. Stan says that Fred Ziedlan called and says that Saka, the Litiuanian Mafia boss, has been keeping an eye out for Ben and his family. Mary calls Ben’s work and the manager says that he didn’t show up today. They go to his house to find him unconcious on the floor. They take him to the hospital and Marshall tells that it doesn’t look like Saka got to him and tells Mary that she can take a blood test while they wait to check her pregnancy. She tells that she doesn’t and answers the phone. Brandi says that her guest list on her side is slim and she says that it is a disaster. Mary tells that she has to go and asks Marshall why he has the “face”. He says that it is Ben’s condition. He suffered from Liver failure and the doctor says that he has six weeks to live if he doesn’t have a transplant. Mary walks off with the doctor and she asks how far along Mary is. Mary is shocked and asks if she is showing it. Stan comes in and tells that he needs to talk.
Marshall and Mary talk to Fred and he tells that now that Ben has liver failure, Saka’s attorney is only going to drag out the court hearing until Ben dies and will be unable to testify. They talk to Ben and Mary tells that they believe that Saka has located his children. She tells that if they get to Albuquerque, then they could test for a match. However, Ben tells them not to test his children and that he would rather die. He says that he will testify, but no testing his children for a transplant. Mary and Marshall arrive in Miami, Florida and Mary tells that she took the blood test and she is pregnant. They get to see Tom and Celia and tell that Saka’s men are in Florida and they have to enter the program. However, Tom says that he has to talk to Steve, his partner. They go to his work and Celia and Mary wait for Tom, his son and Steve. Dylan, Tom and Steve’s son, runs to Celia and suddenly a car races toward them. Mary grabs Dylan and saves his life. They are convinced to enter the program. They get to Albuquerque and Marshall tells that their father is in the hospital. Celia immediately gets up to go see him, but Tom is hesitant. He says that he has to get Dylan settled. Celia goes to the hospital and asks him what is wrong with him. Ben lies and says that it is nothing and Mary says that he has Liver Failure and will die if he doesn’t get a transplant. Ben gets upset and says that he is out of WITSEC. Mary tells that his family is out too and he tells that he didn’t want her to know. They leave and Celia tells Mary that she wants to get tested.

Later that night, Mary ices her eye from when Dylan hit her in the eye with his elbow. She finds a box with old pictures. Brandi calls and tells that Brandi asks if Mary ever tried to find their father with her job and Mary says that it is not worth it, but Brandi says that she wants to find him. Mary tells that their father is just the guy in the picture. Marshall gets Tom and Steve settled and tells Tom to get tested. However, Tom doesn’t like the fact that he could die during the procedure. Marshall gets a call from the hospital and tells Mary that Ben tried to leave and is crashing. They get to the hospital and find that he is stable. The doctor says that they need to test Ben’s children. Celia finds out that Ben is not really her father. Celia tells Mary that Tom has to get tested. The doctor pulls Mary to the side and gives her a card to her friend, an OBGYN. Marshall goes up to Stand and updates them. Fred tells that their motion to present video testimony. Fred doesn’t like the fact that Tom is having Daddy issues.
Marshall and Mary visit Tom and talk about the liver. Tom says that they are going to take 70% of his liver and doesn’t like the odds. Mary says that his father may have been weird about the Gay thing, but says that he was there physically. She tells that his father is dying and Tom says that a child needs a father. Mary says that he needs to at least get tested. Tom runs off and plays soccer with Dylan. Celia visits Ben in the hospital and says that she doesn’t care that he is not technically her father and loves him. Ben tells that when Tom told him that he was Gay, he felt bad for him from the hate that comes from that. Tom comes in and hears Ben tell that he is the best and was special to him. Tom says that he was a lousy father, but wants to find out if he is a lousy grandfather and says that he got tested.

Later that evening, Marshall comes up to Mary and talks about procreation and Mary tells him to be quiet. She says that she doesn’t know if she can do this and Marshall says that they will make a list for her. She looks up James Wiley Shannon, her father, on the system, but then deletes it. She pulls out the card to the OBGYN. The episode ends with Ben getting the surgery and Mary at the doctor’s appointment. Mary places a picture of her, Brandi, Jinx and her father in the box for Brandi. The episode ends.
