Jason grew up in a seemingly perfect family in Littleton, Col., although he struggled for his father's approval. Jason and his father were both devastated when he failed to make the freshman baseball team in his first season. He excelled at rollerblading but ended up quitting because of his father's disapproval of the sport. Jason turned to drugs to ease his pain and became an addict by his senior year. The next year he was named as one of the bullies at Columbine High School in which the shooters vowed their revenge against. This caused a feeling of guilt and grief over his dead classmates, causing his addiction to escalate. Now Jason lives on the streets of Denver, and his family is in pieces.
