Alyson is confronted by her friends, family and professional interventionist, and urged to get help.

Addicted gambler Gabe has lost more than $500,000 as well as his family's home. Actress Vanessa, who has had a featured role on the hit TV show "ER," is a compulsive shopper. Now on the verge of bankruptcy, she still can't stop. Confronted by families and interventionists, Gabe and Vanessa face their serious troubles.

Friends try to help Tamela, 24, who was molested as a child and now cuts herself with razorblades. And, a family calls in interventionist Jeff VanVonderen to help Jerrie, 29, who is addicted to Vicodin. She has been forging physician signatures on prescriptions and scouring the waterfront for drug dealers.

Parents and friends intervene to save Alissa, a compulsive gambler who has lost more than $30,000 on 25-cent slots. Meanwhile her boyfriend juggles three jobs just to make ends meet for them. Then we meet Brian, whose crystal meth habit feeds his sex addiction and sends him trolling the streets for new partners every day.

At 24, Sara had everything she ever wanted in her sleepy Minnesota town. She had a fairy-tale wedding in Hawaii, a beautiful baby girl, a house, three cars, and even competed in beauty pageants. Then, it all abruptly ended in divorce. Not knowing how else to cope Sara turned to Crystal Meth, and now uses every day, all day if she can. A self-labeled "junkie," Sara has lost everything, including custody of her daughter. She currently lives with her parents and exists in an endless cycle of drugs, stealing, lying, drug testing, and court appearances. Her family says the only hope for Sara is an Intervention.



6 :01x06 - Travis & Matt

An addiction to crystal meth threatens the life of Travis, a former rock 'n' roll star. Can his girlfriend and family get him into treatment before it's too late? And Matt, who comes from an upper-middle class home, is addicted to crack-cocaine and has stolen from his family and friends to support his habit. Desperate, his parents turn to an interventionist to save Matt from himself.



7 :01x07 - Peter & Renee

The stories of two people who need the intervention of family and friends to save them from their addictions. Peter is so addicted to video games that he identifies himself as the characters in the games he plays and refers to other characters as people he hangs out with. And Renee's eating disorder has become so dangerous that it is threatening her health, marriage, finances, and even the custody of her two small children.

Once a valedictorian, Tina is now a real-life desperate housewife. This mother of a three-year-old spends her days gambling her house and car payments while stoned on prescription pills. With most of her jewelry in pawn shops, and forced to take paycheck advances, Tina now writes insurance policies from home and spends her days at horse tracks and in Bingo halls. With her marriage, health and finances in complete crisis her husband Harley says that "this show may be the only thing left that can save our lives."



9 :01x09 - Cristine & Kelly P.

Family and friends stage interventions to halt the self-destructive behavior of Cristine and Kelly. Cristine is a wife and mother who drinks at least 18 beers a day. Kelly is an anorexic who weighs 93 pounds and whose young daughter is following in her footsteps, often picking at her food or refusing to eat altogether. Her friends are seeking help not just to save Kelly, but her daughter as well.



10 :01x10 - Kelly F. & Mark

Family and friends decide that an intervention is their only hope of saving two men: Kelly, a man with a 160 IQ who lives on the streets and survives on beer and other people's spare change, and Mark, who's so addicted to painkillers that he's had a morphine pump surgically implanted in his abdomen.

Corinne is a pretty 18 year-old blonde girl who was an honor roll student, star athlete and played the clarinet and saxophone. She started using drugs at 14 after being sexually abused by a neighborhood boy who babysat her. Still striving to move forward while battling her addictions, she completed her GED and began college, finishing two semesters before dropping out. Now, Corinne has become addicted to a deadly combination of heroin and crystal meth. Corinne likes the "speedball effect" -- the dangerous result of overlapping meth and heroin usage. Corinne is also a diabetic who requires insulin, but she often skips her doses because she is so high. After repeated trips to the emergency room, her family is expecting, any minute, to hear that they've lost her for good.



16 :02x02 - Howard & Audrey

First aired: Nov/06/2005

Howard, 39, is a driving instructor to celebrities, the CIA, and the FBI, but he drinks when he can't get high from driving fast. Now, Howard's doctor has told him his liver is failing, and unless he stops drinking, he will die. Audrey, 24, was popular and artistic, but the disapproval she felt when she came out about her sexuality led her to the streets and heroin addiction. Now her family plans an intervention to save her, if they can.



17 :02x03 - Adam & Michael

Adam, who began using heroin after his girlfriend broke up with him, panhandles money at gas stations to get enough money to score. His family is "hanging on by a thread" and desperate for intervention help. Michael is a violent son who holds his family hostage with his rage. Truly in crisis, his family will do anything to stop living in terror.



18 :02x04 - Michelle & Heidi

Heidi is a compulsive shopper. She shops every day, and is running out out money. She even steals her moms identity just so she can stop. She also is addicted to plastic surgery; she got her eyes, chest, cheeks, and lips done.

Michelle is a meth addict. Everyday, she shoots up methamphetamine everyday to relieve the stress. She's suicidal, and has a boyfriend who's in jail. Michelle trades sex for drugs, which often leads to rape. With the support of her loving grandfather, mother, and sister, will Michelle choose to go into a medical facility?



19 :02x05 - Salina & Troy

For the past eleven years Salina has been suffering from severe bulimia. She also struggles with a shopping addiction and recently began battling a new urge, self-mutilation. Her family is desperate to help her break this cycle and is hoping she will take this lifeline. After relocating to Los Angeles, Troy had a promising future until his recreational crystal methamphetamine usage escalated into a full-blown addiction. While high Troy reports to having had, "hundreds of homosexual encounters." Now homeless and unemployed, he sells methamphetamine and claims that injecting crystal meth helps him stay alert, and survive on the streets. Long time friends sought Intervention's help.



20 :02x06 - Kristen

A young mother, addicted to alcohol and heroin, is in the midst of losing custody of her 5-year-old daughter Sadie, who recently told her "mom, you are a loser." Kristen has now reached the point of no return. Her family has reached out to Intervention as a last hope of saving Kristen.



21 :02x07 - Follow-Up: Cristine, Brooks & Audrey

First aired: Jan/22/2006

This second "follow-up" episode will allow for a much deeper investigation of life after the intervention, as we revisit some subjects several weeks later to see if their intervention was successful. Included: alcoholic wife and mother Cristine; heroin addict Audrey; and brothers Brooks and Ian, both cocaine addicts.



22 :02x08 - Antwahn & Billy

First aired: Mar/12/2006

The stories of two men on the verge of destroying themselves. Antwahn played professional basketball for the Los Angeles Clippers and in Europe for over a decade, but when a serious knee injury ended his career he began to binge on crack-cocaine and ended up on skid row. Billy seeks a fix for his terrible drug addiction in many ways--he's an IV heroin user, he steals his mother's Xanax, he shoots Ambien intravenously, and he shoots up cocaine.



23 :02x09 - Amy & Annie

First aired: Mar/19/2006

Annie is anorexic and bulimic. Now her fiancé, Kevin, desperately wants an intervention because he's afraid that Annie's eating disorders will kill her. After Amy was sexually molested at 16, she turned to drugs to deal with the pain and ended up living on park benches with her boyfriend. Amy's mother has reached out to Intervention as her last hope.



24 :02x10 - Chuckie

First aired: Mar/26/2006

Chuckie, 28, is the son of a famous musician, and was born into the rock 'n' roll world of the 70's. Surrounded by famous musicians and privilege all his life, he aspired to be an athlete or singer. However, drugs have over-shadowed every moment of Chuckie's life. Born addicted to heroin, this third generation addict lives on the streets, and is the last remaining member of his family not to get clean. Chuckie's loved ones hope an intervention will help him break free of his family disease.



25 :02x11 - Andrea & Gina

Gina is bright, fun-loving, and ambitious, but she's losing a difficult battle with drugs and compulsive gambling. Gina's family feels an intervention is the only way to save her. Andrea is a 30-year-old, divorced, single mother addicted to alcohol, cocaine and marijuana. She says that she loves the party lifestyle and that she can't end the cycle of drinking and drugs in which she's immersed herself. Can an intervention can bring her the "peace" she's looking for?



26 :02x12 - John

At 33, all John can see is the loss in his life. His mother died when he was 12. This year, he lost his sister, his cousin and his best friend. His only escape from it all is in his addiction to crack and alcohol, an addiction that has already come close to taking his life. His family and friends cannot imagine losing someone else. Their only hope is an intervention and the possibility that John will seek treatment.



27 :02x13 - Follow-Up: Rachel & Antwahn

We revisit with two of our subjects to see how they've been doing since we first profiled them. Antwahn's family staged an intervention to save him from cocaine, and he went to treatment. But unfortunately, we learn that his story does not end there. And Rachel's continuing battle to stay off heroin has been threatened by her attempts to help her boyfriend get clean.

Tammi, 45, is an alcoholic despite being raised in an upper middle-class family that provided her with a good education and even golf and tennis lessons. Daniel got hooked on meth after becoming a victim of molestation. Now interventions are their only hope.

A high achiever as a young man, Mike developed a life-threatening dependency on speed balling, which involves mixing cocaine and heroin. Only an intervention can save him now that he's lost his marriage, his business, and the custody of his children to drugs. James was a straight-A student until he turned to methamphetamines to cope with his mother's near-fatal illness. Now his mother, Mary, hopes an intervention will get James back on track in life.

At 40 years old, Betsy seems to have it all. She's beautiful with great friends and a gorgeous house. But Betsy is miserable and she drinks up to five bottles of chardonnay a day to mask the pain. The alcohol is starting to take its toll. She has been in detox several times this year. Betsy does not believe she has a problem with alcohol. And her friends and family believe is it time for her to face the truth and get help. They are planning an intervention, but will Betsy be able to admit she has a problem and be willing to go to treatment?

A look at two women whose lives have spun out of
control. At one time, Laurie was a psychotherapist and
mother of three. But then an addiction to pain killers
and alcohol led to the loss of her job and her family,

dreamed of becoming a doctor. But that was before
bulimia trapped her in cycle of despair.

Growing up, she was a cheerleader, a dancer, a swimmer
and a great student. After college, she became a high
school health and phys-ed teacher, and the students

In the past three years, Lauren has lost her job and
her apartment. She's living with her mother and her
moods swing constantly between volatile and depressed.
Her family's only hope is an Intervention.

From the outside, Ryan and his family look picture perfect. They live in a beautiful house in an upscale northern California neighborhood. But inside, their world is falling apart. Ryan, once a talented drummer who was awarded a music scholarship to the state university, is addicted to opiates. He injects OxyContin up to 15 times a day. His moods swing wildly from needy to hostile, and his family no longer knows how to deal with him or help him. Their only hope is an intervention.

Kim is a beautiful 34-year-old make-up artist who grew up a cheerleader and popular. But fearing her good looks and slim figure were deteriorating, Kim turned to bulimia and anorexia. Now Kim's weight issues have taken over her life. She is entrenched in a divorce with her high school sweetheart, who she still loves dearly. She's moved in with her mother and stepfather, with whom she can't get along. Kim's needs have taken over the household and no one believes it can get better unless Kim agrees to get help.

By day, Jacob, 25, is a banker. But most nights, Jacob is drinking, driving and often engaged in barroom brawls. He recently overdosed on alcohol and prescription drugs. But will he be able to hear her when she pleads for him to get help?

Anthony has been working at the pizzerias owned by his family since he was a kid. A good athlete, colleges offered him baseball scholarships. But at 14, everything changed. His sister died of a heroin overdose and his mother fell into an emotional black hole. Anthony found comfort in cocaine, and today he needs methadone to get him through the day until he can shoot coke at night. His family is not ready to let him hit rock bottom, but Anthony won't get better until his entire family embraces change.

Growing up, Dillon showed tremendous promise. But after a bitter divorce, his mother, Tammy hoped that Dillon wouldn't follow in the footsteps of his violent, alcoholic father. But today Tammy's worst fears have come true. Dillon, 20, is living with his father in a dilapidated trailer where he injects methamphetamines every day and refuses any overtures for help. Tammy has one final hope--an intervention.

Trent, 33, is a four-star chef who's served U.S. presidents and Hollywood stars. But as the child of alcoholics, Trent's formative years were marked with violence and abuse. He ultimately turned to drugs to cope, and today he is homeless, sick, battling freezing temperatures, and has an insatiable heroin addiction. His friends and family fear he won't make it through the winter on the streets, but will Trent be willing to listen to the family he feels deserted him?

Jessica, 21, comes from a tight-knit family. Her father, mother, sister and grandfather all work at the family-owned gas station. But Jessica's not allowed to work there any more. Ever since Jessica became addicted to heroin at 17, her family cannot trust her. And even worse--her addiction is straining family relationships. Everyone wants to see her go to treatment, however just organizing the intervention is tearing them apart. Growing up Hubert, now 50, never felt truly loved by his stepfather. And his stepfather admits giving more love and attention to his three biological children.

Meanwhile, Hubert protected his brother and sisters from hearing and seeing their parents screaming and hitting one another. Forty years later, it's Hubert's siblings' turn to help him overcome a horrible alcohol addiction that has left him living on the streets of Los Angeles for the past six months.

Ryan, an OxyContin addict and Hubert a recovering alcoholic have their cases update since their interventions. Ryan had gone back to rehab and is having trouble following their rules. Hubert is still having trouble coping with the death of his father and avoiding an old friend.

Brooke, 26 is a former gymnast on an elite cheerleading squad who dreamed of an athletic life. But tragedy struck when she was diagnosed with Steele's disease, an early form of rheumatoid arthritis. Treated with narcotics, Brooke soon became addicted. Her family wants her to try new types of treatments, but she denies she has become addicted.

His family wants him helped before he dies or kills someone else.

Chad was a troubled youth who was sent him to juvenile hall for felony arson. His father introduced him to cycling at the age of 15, and soon was part of Lance Armstrong's team. But after a dismissal for "personality conflicts," Chad was crushed and turned to drugs. Now Chad is a homeless, crack smoking and drinking panhandler. Although his family has made many unsuccessful attempts to help him, they have asked for an intervention as the last hope.

Dan, a married father of one who loves music and works as a first mate on a snorkeling and whale watching boat company on the Hawaiian islands. But not all is well as Dan is an alcoholic who as a child was the subject of physical violence and verbal abuse and now harbors deep emotional pain.

Sandra spends her days sitting in a garage popping pills...anti depressants, pain killers, anti-psychotics and sleeping pills. Her sons have had enough and moved away. Her best friend has moved in with Sandra to help take care or her, despite suffering from multiple sclerosis. Along with Sandra's husband, the two make sure she can't OD, yet have not done enough to stop her. Sandra's family is ready to try an intervention, but they're not sure she'll ever choose her family over her addiction.

A 23 year old motocross rider, Charles, has become a heroin and alcohol abuser. Most likely it was to block out the memories of his troubled childhood, which included being molested by his father, for which he went to prison for and his mother becoming an alcoholic. It's his half sister Lindsey who has gathered the family for one last attempt to help Charles.

Marie, a Sophia Loren look alike, was the child of an Italian mob family. She went to live with her mother after her parents divorce, living in poverty. Marie herself would be married three times, all ending in divorce. But she was still determined to give her children what she was missing as a kid. Despite her problems finding love for herself, she became a successful matchmaker for a wealthy socialite, and has appeared on 60 minutes. Then Marie met and married husband number four. But he was an addict and an alcoholic, a fate she soon would meet up with. Her husband has since died from his alcoholism and she is headed down the same path, unless an intervention takes place.

Tom got caught up in a gangster lifestyle while growing up in a South Boston neighborhood run by an Irish mob. By the time he was 20, Tom was holding down a job in the day as a Boston fireman and dealing drugs and running with the wiseguys at night. But through it all, Tom remained a loving, loyal father to his four children. But all his came crashing down one day when he was caught and indited on drug charges, losing his home, his job and his family's respect. Can an intervention help cement Tom and his family back together again?

Asa grew up with a low self-esteem being of a mixed race while raised in a predominantly white neighborhood. He was ridiculed by his classmates due to his size, race and effeminate demeanor. Asa became bulimic while trying to drop some pounds. At the age of 19 he came out as a gay man and began to drink and experiment with hard drugs. Although he is fell aware of what is happening to his body since he is a medical science student at the university, he can't stop his addiction. His family hopes an intervention will help Asa out.

At 19 she married to escape her home life, but her controlling husband forced her to move back in with her mother. Feeling worthless, Tiffany has turned to alcohol. She has been hospitalized many times for alcohol abuse and suicide attempts.
