	Kagome Higurashi, played by Moneca Stori Kagome is a 15 year old girl reincarnated from Kikyo, Inuyasha's first love, 50 years after her death. She is able to sense the Shikon jewel because of this fact, and she has also inherited special spiritual powers to dispose of demons. Inuyasha was forced to wear a bead necklace in the beginning of the series that only responds to the command "Sit" spoken by Kagome only. She crushes on Inuyasha but does not really reveal it to him directly even though she has given off signs of it.
