Invader ZIM

Invader ZIM

When Invader ZIM is sent to Earth by the Almighty Tallest in an attempt to get rid of him once and for all, he must do everything he can in order to conquer the filthy planet to prove his worth to the rest of the Irken Empire. In order to try to perfectly blend in, ZIM decides to become a student at the local Earth skool, though he also plans to exploit the opportunity to learn as much about the human race as possible. However, when he discovers that a big headed boy named Dib can see through his disguise, he must try to overcome his attempts to prove he’s an alien, all the while trying to blend in with the human race in order to avoid further detection.

ZIM isn’t alone, as he has a malfunctioning SIR united named GIR who serves as his sidekick and right hand man, though GIR’s poor frame of mind often tends to put ZIM’s missions in jeopardy. Together, ZIM and GIR must try to figure out methods of conquering Earth before the Almighty Tallest bring the Irken Armada their way, though Dib plans on doing everything he can in order to stop ZIM at every turn and ultimately reveal him for being the alien menace that he actually is.

A show I overlooked for far too long.Rating: 2 likes, 0 dislikes

I don’t know how I seemed to overlook this show for so long. This is a show I have just recently come to watch, and from the first episode I saw, The Frycook, I was hooked. There are several possible reasons that I may have become hooked on the series. Firstly is the humour, I love the humour, and I also have an automatic bias towards futuristic style comedies, this show certainly fulfilled its purpose in providing a futuristic style setting in modern day earth. Being a former fast food worker myself and watching the Frycook episode first I felt I could relate with the horrors of it, especially with the accurateness in which they portrayed it. The foodening reminded me of those horrible Saturday rushes therefore I was able to sympathise with those workers trapped in it. Read more
