The gang is held hostage when the McPoyle siblings barge into the pub with guns and demands. They begin to form alliances and try and figure out the best way to get themselves out of the situation. However, all of them prove to be disloyal friends who have no problem stabbing one another in the back. While all of this is happening, Frank is stuck crawling through the vents of the pub in search of his will that's hidden somewhere up there.

Episode Quotes

Mac: Why did you hide your will in the ceiling?
Frank: I didn't do it. Charlie did it.
Mac: Why did Charlie hide your will in the ceiling?
Frank: Because I didn't wanna crawl around these goddamn vents!

(three guys with masks and guns bust into the bar)
Charlie: Don't shoot, OK? Just take whatever you want.
Mac: Yeah, take the cash register.
Dennis: Take the girl!
Dee: What do you mean "take the girl"?
Dennis: Don't argue with them. Just go!
Charlie: You better just go with them.
Dee: But they're not trying to take me anywhere!
Mac: Don't try to be a hero, Dee! Just do what they say!
Dee: They're not saying anything!

Ryan: And if any of you try to escape, we'll massacre you in a blaze of glory, then play with your bodies.
Liam: Especially Dennis.

Dee: This is serious. We could get Stockholm Syndrome.
Charlie: (gasps) Oh, my God. What is that? What is that? Does that start with a sore throat because I think I might be getting it.
Dee: No, you're not getting it, Charlie.
Charlie: Oh, I'm sorry. Are you a doctor? I don't think you're qualified to tell me whether or not I'm coming down with Stockholm Syndrome!

Liam: Ryan, crank up the heat! We're gonna get this place hot and clammy. Just like the McPoyles like it.

Frank: (reading Charlie's cryptic message in the vents) "If here by now then bad place be. Trouble time for you when heat comes." Jesus Christ, the kid's an idiot.

(Charlie farts as Mac looks for the map supposedly tattooed on Charlie's ass)
Mac: Why would you do something like that?
Charlie: 'Cause you stole my map and Frank's in the vents and you're lyin' to me when we could die today and I never got to fart in your face before!

Liam: You think I'm bluffing?
Dennis: I think you're bluffing.
Liam: Then bluff this. Ryan, stab somebody!
(Ryan runs in yelling and stabs Liam in the arm)

Frank: (talking to Mac via walkie-talkie) God, I just stepped in glass! There's broken bottles all over the place.
Mac: Broken bottles everywhere? Oh, shit, dude. I think you're in Charlie's bad room.
Frank: What the hell is that?
Mac: It's where he goes to be alone and break bottles.

Charlie: Then tell me, Frank. What do you think about (rips the will in half) this.
Frank: I like that very much. That's exactly why I came up here.
Charlie: No, it's t—oh, yeah, I guess it is.

(Ryan has just fallen from the rooftop)
Liam: Are you all right?
Ryan: Yeah. I think I might get a bruise on my heel.
Liam: That's not bad.

Cultural References

Visual: Frank crawls around the vents

This is a reference to the action film Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis as John McClane. Frank crawling through the vents in a tank top with a lighter parodies scenes of McClane doing the exact same thing.

Frank: (talking to Mac via walkie-talkie) God, I just stepped in glass! There's broken bottles all over the place.

This is also a reference to Die Hard. The villain, Hans Gruber (played by Alan Rickman), leads McClane to a room where he has had all the glass shot out so as to injure McClane's bare feet.

Visual: Frank has a gun taped to his back

Again, this is a reference to Die Hard. Frank secretly tapes the gun to his back in the same fashion as McClane does right before he shoots Hans Gruber. The laughter right before the shooting also mimics that from the movie.

Frank: (draws gun) Yippee-ki-yay, Mr. Falcon!

One of the most famous lines used in the Die Hard films is "Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!" However, this line was edited for television broadcasts. In Die Hard 2, McClane's line is dubbed over with, "Yippee-ki-yay, Mr. Falcon!"
