A year after the death of her husband Sal finds it a difficult time. She is also upset as Tash and James have forgotten what day it is.
Tash is shocked when she discovers that Spike has purchased a ticket to get in to Glastonbury this year. When her usual way of avoiding paying to get in fails she is forced to ask for Caroline's help.
Sal tries a spot of matchmaking after organising a ramble for the Guild.
The men are unhappy when the yearly Clatterford Roundheads v Cavaliers battle re-enactment is called off. The ladies come up with an alternative content. Spike and Marcus continue to battle to win Tash's affections.
The ladies find their rivalry with the guild from the nearby village continuing with a netball game followed by a crown green bowls contest. Spike writes a letter to Tash issuing her with an ultimatum.
Tash agrees to become Spike's wife and they plan an unusual wedding. When it all gets to much for daughter Sal is secretly happy to be organising the wedding instead.
The guild attempts to survive as the membership numbers starts to dwindle.
Sal snoops around the construction site where she meets Jock. Jock ends up offending Sal and his efforts to make it up to her don't go as he hoped. Caroline attempts to organise a dinner party for her husband's friends. When the guests are delayed on the train she finds herself having to entertain Rosie, Sal and the vicar. Sal attempts to help Rosie regain her self confidence.
Tash is ready to move out of the family home after she and Spike finish restoring their van but they reverse it into the side of the house Sal's dreams of a much quieter life are ruined. Jock offers to repair the damage that is caused to the house. Jock lets Tash and Spike move the van to a field behind the house. Sal ends up arguing with Josh when she finds out he has been lying to her. Sal is surprised when Charles Dance shows up at the Guild meeting and learns that Josh tracked him down and paid him to come talk.
