The Celebrity - Recap

The episode begins with India briefing the team about the perfection they expect for Harrods’. But there is more. The team at Donovon Decker also has to impress Aiden Chase, a celebrity and the new face of Harrods’. She tells them that she would be thorough and that she will cut them no slack. Next, Billy doesn’t want to go to the cemetery to watch a horror movie; a tradition Jane and he have been following since they were seven. Jane doesn’t want the tradition to e broken and she insists that they go. Ben is celebrating their eighth week anniversary and Rita wants to keep it professional at school. He tells Jane and Billy that his previous relationship didn’t work out because he didn’t do enough, but this time he doesn’t want to lose Rita as she is special.

But then he decides to cancel the anniversary plans that he had made. Billy is still unable to adjust himself in school after two months of detention. The students aren’t accepting him yet. Jane tells him that she could call in sick at work and hang out with him; but he asks her to go. At the office, Eli and Jeremy have clashes regarding each other’s style. They get into an argument and Jane breaks them out of it. Meanwhile, at school Rita tells Billy that he needs to be calm and that he cannot afford to have any more strikes against his name; else he would be sent back to juvi and it would affect his whole life. She tells him that she doesn’t want to give up on him. At the office, India pretends that she liked the designs. But then she meets Chase and tells him that he might not like the designs and that he needs to be vocal about his thoughts.

Chase checks the designs and refuses to put his face on them. He is planning to go in another direction. Eli rushes to get a jacket and asks Chase to try it on. Chase likes the jacket. The jacket was a side project Eli has been working on. Eli saved Donovon Decker. Gray has a talk with Jeremy. She tells him that she knows about his fling with India and asks him to use the old bond to get information out of her. Jeremy is reluctant but Gray doesn’t want to listen to anything. Next, Eli, Carter, Chase and Jane are out having fun. Suddenly Jane notices that they are getting lot of attention thanks to Chase. When they walk out of the restaurant, the photographers click the pictures of Jane and Chase together. Next morning, the pictures are all over the internet. Jane is now Chase’s mystery girl.

Ben tells her that if she needs to lead a double life, then she needs to keep it low. At school, Jane has become a celebrity. Billy doesn’t like the whole thing much and he tells Jane that she should have fun with everyone and that he will not be picking her up for the movie. Instead he will be going alone for the Halloween night movie. Jane is upset about Billy’s decision. She calls him to tell him that she is waiting for him. Just then she receives a call from Eli saying that they have been invited to a party by Chase and he has sent a limo to pick her up. He asks her to wear something fancy. She arrives at the party and Eli tells her that she is looking spectacular. He goes to get them a drink. She spots Chase, but Chase ignores her and greets his other friends. At home, Ben is waiting for Rita. But it is Billy who knocks at the door. Ben tells him that Jane isn’t home and that he thought that they might have already left for the movie.

Billy tells him that he had decided to go alone. He also tells Ben that the students look at him as a thief. He isn’t comfortable being around them. He points out that Jane is the highlight at school and his star is burning down. Ben talks to Billy. He tells them that people make stupid assumptions and that he should not let them affect him. He says that Jane and he have been a team for a long time. He was always there for her and now it is his turn to let Jane be there for him. At the office, India comes to talk to Jeremy. She tells him that he should not let Eli overshadow him. Jeremy feels that she is trying to sabotage him; but she says that she is trying to help him. She thinks that they are nothing but interchangeable pieces during Gray’s climb for success. She doesn’t want Jeremy to go through what she went through.

She reminds him that Eli is Gray’s nephew and that she will always favor him. India tells Jeremy that she wants to destroy Gray and Jane and she tells him that he will help her do it. She knows that it was he who leaked the designs to Beau and he is the mole. If he doesn’t help her, then she will take him down. She thinks that both of them together can run Donovon Decker. Jeremy kisses her. She asks him whether he did that because he wanted to or if Gray asked him to keep her close. Either ways it doesn’t matter! At the party, Chase manages to make Jane feel totally out of place. She realizes her mistake. She tells Eli that she was swept away with all the glam. She is supposed to be with her friend who has always been there for her.

Eli tells her that she should leave the party and go back to her friend. At the movie, Ben has brought flowers for Rita. She sneezes; she is allergic to flowers. She tells Ben that all this attention that he has been giving her is a bit too overwhelming. She is glad that he does care about her but she wants to slow things a little. Ben tells her that he only wants her to know that he cares about her and that he is not ready to slow things down. Rita is taken aback. She tells Ben that they need to take a break. She gets up and leaves. Billy is waiting for Jane, when one of the girls’ from school walks to Billy. She is the rebel Billy met at school, outside Rita’s office. She tells him that she likes being alone during such movies. But she joins Billy. They get talking and Billy seems comfortable with her. Jane arrives at the cemetery. She sees Billy sitting with that girl.

She is upset. Then she sees her brother sitting alone. She goes and sits next to her brother. He tells where Billy is sitting and tells her that she could go sit with him. But Jane tells him that she has seen Billy smiling for the first time since the time he has been back from detention. She doesn’t want to interrupt them. She asks about Rita. He tells her that despite her warnings, he came down strong on Rita, and so now she needed a break. The brother and sister have learned their lessons. They watch the movie together. The episode ends at this point.
