Jekyll stars James Nesbitt as Tom Jackman a descendant of Dr Jekyll. The series is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's book titled Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Tom finds himself trying to keep his alter ego Mr Hyde locked inside himself to protect his family.

1x1: Episode 1 recap: A woman goes into a chamber in her office-apartment and contemplates a sturdy prisoner’s chair, designed to hold someone of great strength. As the time approaches 12 o’clock, she approaches the chair and tests the straps. Dr. Tom Jackman comes in and says that “he” is very punctual, and warns that their future prisoner is usually stronger than him. The woman, Katherine Reimer, points out that strength isn’t variable in most cases, but Tom warns that there aren’t any cases like the one they’re dealing with. He checks the computer and then dictates into a recorder, explaining to their prisoner who Katherine is: a psychiatric nurse who is apprised of the situation and can be trusted. Tom tells their prisoner that Katherine won’t take sides and says that he should consider it because they can’t go on the way they are. He reminds their prisoner of the cameras and tells Katherine that the chair is there because the prisoner has violent episodes and doesn’t like surprises... read more.
