| A weak show gets weaker
|
The quality of writing for the series "Jericho" started out on a fairly week note with its pilot. The concept of the show, while gripping, is not enough to carry it through its lifespan, and attention needs to be paid to the dialogue and direction of the show. Another area of weakness that is especially noticable in this episode is the odd selection of music that seems to come from no where. A scene that stands out from this episode of course is the "Gas Tank" scene in where heavy metal music comes from out of no where in an attempt to try and build tension in a scene where the actors and writers had already failed to do so. If you watch the previous episodes again, watch for that and I am sure you will notice this as well.
I will write a more detailed review and annalysis later. I wanted to get this one down while it was fresh in my mind this evening.
