i really liked this episode as well. except when ashley scott's character, Emily, hitched a ride with the cops. isn't she from Jericho? wouldn't she know the sheriff? or who he is at least? it said sheriff on the side of the care and the guy in the trunk said "run emily". she got dooped pretty easy.

moving on. other than that, it was pretty good. good suspense and action all the way thru. the brother is having an affair. this is only going to lead to a cat fight. i'm glad about that. i can't believe he was going or, for that matter, did turn those people away. that store owner is a bit coocky by the way - way out there.

The numbers of pins on the map at the end of the episode is totaly irrealistic, there is no way in heck anyone could pull an operation like this.

I had this feeling since the first episode, i might be wrong, but i think the whole serie is about right wing extremists group pulling an inside job and using the nuclear powerplant as bombs.

Whatever the plot, the message is clear: USA folks are not ready nor prepared for this.

As for the girl thing with the false cops: what do you expect? she is blonde

i don't realisticly think it can happen, but 5 years ago i didn't think anyone could crash planes and bring down the world trade center towers. it's fiction. a complete extreme of something that happened.

USA folks aren't ready? who would be? no one would, that's who.

Good episode. I'll probably continue watching this series. I didn't really understand why Jake didn't have to ceal off that celler with anything, and others in Jericho did. Won't he get violent radiation poisioning? Or maybe that's the whole point.

Either way, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Hmm, not much happened in this episode really. This will be like Lost I bet, which I stopped watching after a few episodes. They drag out the "answer" for a couple seasons while nothing really happens in the show.
I'll watch one more episode. I'd be happy if they bothered to just give a hint what's really happening.

We did get a small hint with the mysterious black guy putting pins in a map over and over. But so far I'm not very impressed with this show, it has to get better, or else....

LOL Maybe that's not a bad idea. Actually I was thinking I'll quit watching or it'll be cancelled.

"We might be at war."

My bet is terrorists. There are fears that terrorists right now have at least 7 nuclear bombs in 7 different cities. Might be playing off of that. To the person that said America wasn't ready? Who in their right mind COULD be ready? Granted Russia has miles of underground bunkers... but I still say no one is prepared for what will happen after a full-scale nuclear war.

Also, this can't be a full-scale nuclear war because not enough cities were targeted. This was strictly tactical to bring down the infra-structure... possibly for pre-invasion?

Will be interesting where they take this. Also MY GUESS is that the black guy, Mr. Hawkins?, has a nuke stored in his home in that container we saw him bricking in tonight. That is what I think it is. I also think he is a terrorist of some sort.

Not enough cities? It looks like every single major city in the US was targeted.

I wonder if the perps realized that setting off so many large nuclear bombs would put enough radioactive material in the atmosphere to affect just about every inch of the planet for hundreds of years.

It only takes about 11 Nukes to completely destroy the US.

When I say that think of where all the major corporations that manage and maintain the flow of goods and services. Most of them are in the major cities. The banks and power centers are the Major Cities. and How many cities are there in the US that have major markets like that? I know that Chicago, New York have markets but what about California cities?

Although now that I type that, most of those locations, Chicago, New York, San Diego have military bases. Does Atlanta have any major bases?

you'd be surprised how many major companies don't have world head quarters in the cities hit. detroit wasn't hit and if we are now at war there are plans already in place to turn those factories around to produce machines of war. the world head quarters and largest plants of dow and dow corning are in midland, michigan. the world head quarters of kellog's is in battle creek, michigan, or near it. as you can guess i'm from michigan.

while you might get an enormous bulk of people and cripple the economy, products can still be produced. that is if good planning and instillation of said plans go well.

i'm only guessing now, but is seems that the largest military bases are in the middle of nowhere. probably by design.

Yea I would say that a lot of companies now are moving out of the cities persay. Didn't think of that, but I am kind of curious to see how the level of destruction or chaos there is in the "Jericho Universe". My guess is that for the most part they will show everyone will be able to get along reasponably well in extreme situation and show the spirit of humanity or try too.
