as some have heard, Jericho was picked up for a full season. now we don't have to worry about not at least seeing some of what the writers have in store for the show. |

Yea I'm pleased about that usually I pick up a show, and star watching it then they decide to cancel it. Sort of like that show with the deep sea critters. Surface... is that coming back? |

I do love the idea for this show but I'm not pleased with the shows writing. I do hope it gets better so my suspension-of-disbelief can return to normal. Right now it looks like Stretch Armstrong just before he broke. |

I am glad the show got picked up for a full season run. However:
I'm just too educated on Nuclear Fallout to be able to suspend my disbelief with some of this. (I would be an emergency responder in such a situation because of my involvement with local EMA and having been certified by my state's Radiological Commission because I live near a Nuclear Power Plant. The training would work for either). I hope that there is never a reason to have people shelter, because some of the way it is handled on the show wouldn't work in real life. People will refer back to what they know, and usually that is "something I saw on TV once". Coming out of the fallout shelter that quickly would be ill advised, although the radiation should have subsided substantially by then, the dosage would still be enough to cause radiation sickness (I believe).
I guess my only problem with the show is that it doesn't really portray any really great advice if this were to happen. I know they have to tell a story, and sitting in a fallout shelter for a week wouldn't be the most interesting thing you'd ever watched.
My question is, how much fallout did they really get? Did it mostly rain out of the cloud before it got there?
I love the show, I just have to turn my knowledge of nuclear technology off.
Let's hope if we do face something like this someday, news media isn't incapacitated so good information can be passed along.
(Putting my Tin foil hat back on now...)
