...Well at least we can take a healthy guess at what Hawkins has in the 44 Gallon drum, which he's keeping bricked up in his basement....

1 X Independantly Targeted Re-entry Vehicle, Warhead, Nuclear.

Is this show a soap opera set in a post nuclear event, a Dukes of Hazzard clone, or what??? I thought it was going to be an interesting SciFi show but it isn't interesting yet, just becoming annoying.

At least I can have some comfort knowing that DC is gone. lol

Why THAT guess nealp ?

they mentioned a bomb of some sort in a 55 gallon drum.

i like it. i never thought it was gonna be a sci-fi show, per se. i always thought it was gonna be about a small community trying to survive a nationwide nuclear attack. in that, it has lived up to my expectations.

You are not going to make me believe anyone would be stupid enought to waste a perfectly good nuclear weapon on that Jericho city, no way.

On a side note, i would like to se more nukes and less soap in that show.

I expected this show to be more about survival under extreme conditions of nuclear war, but it has become a lousy soap opera. I love a good soap opera but this is not a good one and I may drop the show soon if the writing doesn't get more realistic about that situation they are in.

A nuke in Jericho? I can only hope all the dumb asses there are nuked. The man complaining about the water main being broke and flooding his yard should be the first to go, the second should be everyone that didn't realize that they were losing 100's of gallons of potable water that may not be easily replaced with the power out.

"Rescue Me" please hurry back !!!!!

I agree that this show is looking more and more like a Post Apocalyptic Western than anything else, bit like Mad Max to from the perspective of a smaller town. I find it interesting none the less. I think it would be good if they showed outside of Jericho for a while. I want the Mayor to get back on his feet so we can figure out what is really going on. I'm with guytwo on the survival aspect I'd like to see more of that but with better emphasis on the technical issues.

Being that it is only 4 weeks after the initial bomb I think it is reasonable to say this is relatively accurate as to how a small town would function. You would have the people trying to set themselves up as Kingpens like that Jake's Ex-girlfriends father, and people like Jake realizing that they might actually need them. Even if they are going to be problems in the future. To an extent this reminds me of the Postman in that case, but the Mayor is going to have to start doing some really good damage control. People are going to start to get irritated about what is going on and he will need to give the people jobs or tasks. Otherwise people will just laze around in the bar and not do anything to help reconstruct.

I'd like to see teams go out to some of the closer smaller towns and see what is going on. They kind of started with the idea of a Census which is good to know how many people and who is in town. Then I would start putting up a wall around the town. Then I would find a nice pile of steel make a jungle gym and call it the thunderdome..

Two men enter one man leave two men.....

Also as another note I just loaded up the webisodes that they have. They're kind of interesting give you more background into Mr. Hawkins.

So far I've only seen Countdown Episode 6, and 7 listed, can't seem to find the others.
