is the show going to be cancelled?
i live in the UK but ive heard various rumours that becasue the show is not funny and audiences are low, cancellation is in the offing.
is this true in any way? |

Yeah, NBC will start dumping off the final episodes as soon as the olympics are over. But it seems very unlikely it will get renewed for a third season. |

thanks. i hve seen every episode so far and whilst it did have a good block of episodes midway through the first series, the rest have failed to be funny which is the least i expect from a comedy.
i saw the Xmas special and it left me cold which i suspect was not ideal at Christmas.
As an interesting Juxtoposition, i have been watching My Name Is Earl and although it's largely throwaway (like Joey), it tends to beat Joey in just about each and every way.
if as you say the show is to be un-renewed then i would lay the blame squarely at the feet of the writers who dreamt up the peripheral characters that inhabit Joey's world. the supporting cast are not interesting enough and largely 2 dimentional. a shame really becase its diffult to get good comedy from such uninteresting characters. |
