Judge Deed's life is complicated by barrister and sometime love Jo Mills (Jenny Seagrove), his nutty, spoiled ex-wife George (Caroline Langrishe), his ex- father in law and old school judge Sir Joseph Channing (Donald Sinden), and his beautiful daughter Charlie (Louisa Clein), who is a brand new barrister.
