Years ago, I'd catch the late night ads for buying the video series of this show. I so wanted to see it. Now ABC is airing it in the United States. I've heard and read some complaints about the lack of dialog and the added music tracks. What about the laugh tracks? I would find that more annoying, but I've become accustomed to it and it doesn't really matter to me. The lack of dialog makes total sense. To gain such worldwide popularity in countries of so many different languages, it is easy to see why no dialog is included. Not everyone speaks English, or French or whatever language some people may wish to hear on this show. Virtually all of the gags require no sound, they're more visual than anything. Not every gag busts my gut, but I enjoy each and every show.
