Real Name: George Harkness
Position: Expert thief and inventor
Affiliations: Task Force X and the Rogues
History: Captain Boomerang was enlisted into Task Force X for his qualities as a thief. Just like all the other recruits, he was coerced into joining the team in exchange for a pardon for his crimes. The team’s mission was to infiltrate the Justice League’s Watch Tower and steal the Annihilator. Boomerang and Flagg were set out to retrieve it, while Deadshot and Plastique created a diversion to keep Captain Atom out of their hair. Captain Boomerang is an unparalleled master of the boomerang, being able to effectively disarm an opponent or knock them out. He also uses gimmicked boomerangs for different effects.
After the dissolution of Project Cadmus, Captain Boomerang was given an early release and headed back to Central City. There he met with Mirror Master, Captain Cold and The Trickster, and together conspired to kill the Flash during Flash’s Appreciation Day. After the Mirror Master failed to kill him, Captain Boomerang managed to strap him to a giant boomerang and set it to crash against a mountain. He failed, so they all decided to jump at him at the museum the city was opening in his honor. He fought the Flash, Batman and Orion, but was ultimately taken down and arrested. |
