Real Name: Floyd Lawton
Position: Mercenary, freelance marksman, member of Task Force X
History: Although resourceful, Deadshot is a mercenary without any kind of principles; his only interest is money, and he hires himself out to the highest bidder. He was hired by Orm to kill his brother, Aquaman, and almost succeeded the first time. However, Batman foiled his second attempt, and threatened him into confession the identity of his benefactor.
Shortly after Superman’s apparent death, Deadshot was seen looting along with other villains. He even attempted to kill Batman but was thwarted by Superman, who grabbed his projectile with his bare hand.
Seconds before getting the electric chair, Deadshot was forcibly recruited by Colonel Rick Flagg Jr. into Task Force X. Together with Captain Boomerang, the Clock King and Plastique, Deadshot (as Floyd Lawton) infiltrated the Justice League’s Watch Tower in order to steal the Annihilator. He and Plastique were set to create a breech in the reactor room so as to keep Captain Atom busy containing the leak. The team successfully retrieved the Annihilator, but barely managed to escape at the cost of losing Plastique, thanks to Deadshot, who blew up one of Plastique’s bombs just a few feet away from her. Deadshot was told then by Colonel Flagg that he had signed up for missions like that one for five years. Task Force X disbanded after Cadmus’s dissolution, and subsequently its members were released. Deadshot’s status is unknown, however. |
