At the abandoned picture show, Lex and his villains check on Batman, who is securely locked up thanks to Joker capturing him. Joker wants him dead but Lex says they’re going to keep Batman alive until they no longer need him. As Joker walks off, the other villains glare at Lex, who insists that Batman will never escape the titanium bonds and the stasis field will stop J’onn from locating his teammate. Lex then demands to know where the passkey is so he can access Watchtower. When Batman refuses to talk, Grundy checks out Batman’s utility belt and sets off a shock. Lex has Star Sapphire levitate the belt into the air and bring it upstairs, leaving Ultra-Humanite and Grundy to watch Batman...

Episode Quotes
Batman: Joker! I should have known you'd be in on this.
Joker: Really? I must be falling into a rut.

Joker: You're not going to leave him like this, are you?
Lex Luthor: Why?
Joker: Hello? He's still alive.

Batman: Grundy, what's Luthor paying you for this?
Grundy: Money.

Lex Luthor: You imbeciles are killing me faster than the Kryptonite!
Humanite and Grundy: Sorry...

Copperhead: (to Superman) What are you going to do, boy scout? Short my sheets? Give me a wedgie?

Joker: What are you looking for? Bat-car keys? Bat-breath-mints?

Joker: Showtime, everybody. Live and in color, the end of the Justice League.
Batman: Don't make me laugh.
Joker: It's no joke. There's a surprise hidden in your little clubhouse. And once your chums get there, kablooey! Popcorn? (Batman glares) Oh well, more for me.

Shade: And then we get paid...?
Lex: Please! Can't you let me savor this one moment?
Shade: Sorry.

Batman: I could have escaped any time. But I thought I'd stick around and keep an eye on you clowns.
Joker: You're despiccable.

Cultural References
Lex Luthor: (To Ultra Humanite) Et tu, Humanite?

Et tu, Brute: these are the very words Julius Caesar said to Brutus after Brutus [literally] stabbed Caesar in the back. The words 'et' and 'tu' mean 'and' and 'you' respectively and bear the meaning of betrayal.

Joker: (To Batman) You're despicable.

This is the catchphrase of Sylvester the Cat, from the Looney Tunes cartoons, and are often uttered when his cunning plans have been foiled.
