This Little Piggy - Recap

Batman and Wonder Woman are at the Iceberg Lounge in Gotham, waiting for Intergang to pick up the Rosetta Stone. Wonder Woman suggests Batman might consider dating but he points out all the reasons that's a bad idea. They hear an alarm and drop to investigate the only woman breaking in. She transforms a crowbar into a snake and reveals that she's the sorceress Circe. Wonder Woman reveals that Hippolyta condemned Circe to the pit because she turned mortals into animals. The heroes charge but Circe throws them back and then ensnares Wonder Woman in a stone hand. Circe then casts a spell on her as Batman looks on in horror.



The sorceress Zatanna is performing on stage for an audience and for her final illusions, she reaches into her hat. A giant hand appears from the ceiling, grabs an audience member, and Zatanna brings the audience member on stage. Afterward in her dressing room, she reviews the act and Batman arrives. She notes she hasn't seen him in a while, but Batman interrupts to say someone is in trouble. He takes her to the Batmobile and reveals Wonder Woman... transformed into a pig. Zatanna is unable to undue Circe's more powerful sorcery. Batman doesn't want to bring in the League's other sorcerers and Zatanna realizes he has feelings for her. However, Zatanna warns that only Circe can undue the spell, and wonders where she is.



Circe is at the Amphitheater Night Club in Greece performing a musical number.



Meanwhile, Zatanna goes to a magic store to buy a necessary component and haggles with the owner, Sid, for a magic coin. Zatanna finally gets the component and casts a spell to locate Circe. As they go through the spell, Wonder Woman the pig chews through her robe and leaves. Zatanna discovers the spell isn't powerful enough to find Circe and Batman realizes Wonder Pig is gone. They go in pursuit but are unable to find her. Batman calls in B'wana Beast and gives him a description of Wonder Woman, and tells him to keep the circles of other heroes searching small. Red Tornado, Elongated Man, and Crimson Avenger take to the streets. B'wana Beast spots a pig and follows it to a pig sty... filled with thousands of pigs.

Batman goes a new route and contacts Themis, Goddess of Justice, who takes him and Zatanna to the River Styx. Cheron brings Batman's snitch: Medusa, who can earn leniency. She was Circe's cellmate and reveals that Circe planned to give one famous performance at the Amphitheater in Greece.. Themis lets her know that she has taken 300 years off of her time served.



B'wana Beast talks to the pigs without success, unaware that Wonder Pig is being herded into the nearby slaughterhouse. Wonder Pig makes a break for it and a worker chases after her. Wonder Pig manages to get away and the worker grabs a shotgun.

Batman and Zatanna arrive at the Amphitheater.

Circe thanks the crowd and Zatanna arrives to attack her. The villainess quickly recovers and transforms her male dancers into animals, and sends them after the heroes.

The worker opens fire on Wonder Pig, who manages to block the shot with her magic bracers. He tries again but only brings barrels down on him. Other workers manage to grab Wonder Pig and tie her up, and then take her to a conveyer belt that feeds into a meat grinder.



Batman and Zatanna manage to subdue the animals but Circe is confident she can hold them off all night. Realizing they're at a standstill, Batman asks what he'd have to do to get her to lift the spell on Wonder Woman. Circe decides she wants something very precious from him, something he can never regain.

A spotlight comes on and Batman sings a torch song for the audience. Zatanna and Circe cry in appreciation and Circe guarantees she'll keep her deal.



Just as Wonder Pig goes into the meat grinder, there's a flash of light and Wonder Woman, restored to her true form, storms out. The workers run for it and the pigs stampede over the workers. Realizing who's responsible, Wonder Woman flies away. At the night club, Batman apologizes to Zatanna.

Later on the Watchtower, Wonder Woman says she doesn't remember much of what happens when she was a pig. Batman says the important thing and Wonder Woman says that's not the only thing. As she walks away, she hums Batman's song.
