| The villains the League is fighting off at the beginning of the episode are called the Extremists.
| Gina Torres reprises her role as Vixen. The actor voicing Carter Hall and the Shadow Thief is James Remar, who previously played the Lead Manhunter in the first season episode "In Blackest Night (1)".

| Originally, the early Thanagarians did not have natural wings. They genetically engineered themselves to acquire them. This is why Hawkman bears a flying harness, the Thanagarian lawmen in the flashback had metal wings, and the mummies of the Thanagarians at the end had no wings. This fact has been confirmed by Dwayne McDuffie to be consistent in the WB animated universe continuity.

Romeo Montague is the main male character in the famous play by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet. The name is widely used to depict a man as a passionate and romantic lover. Shayera called Joseph Romeo because they are supposedly on a romantic date.

| The origin of the Thangarians in Egypt is very similar as portrayed in JSA #22-25 the Return of Hawkman storyline.
