- Comics Continuum. | WTF is up with everybody from the DCAU providing their talents for the Bat-Embargo?! I suppose that they are officially out of the job, so they need to get some money, though Kevin Conroy would be the last person in need of some easy cash, as he's been playing a character since 1992. He should have raked up a couple million dollars by now. |

Voice acting is not like live action. The pay is nowhere near as close. I don't know if Kenvin Conroy, as great as he is, ever received any royalties for his work. He may just have received a union-based salary for each episode he was in. I doubt he's a millionaire. |

Yeah, I kinda doubt they hang around for all those years just for the "love of the art", you know.... I bet Kevin lives quite comfortably. But it's not like they are actors-actors... They can't afford to pass up voice acting jobs, given that that is how they make a living... Following that logic, many Hollywood actors would have retired years ago. Most of the cast of Friends won't need to work again in their lives... that's the wonder of syndication.
Unlike Tim Daly, Kevin never had the aspiration, as far as I know, to make it in Hollywood. So he's pretty much committed to his voice acting career. So, there's really no reason to refuse a paying job just because that show is the reason of the Bat-embargo... The Bat-embargo never endangered Kevin's job... Batman was never an issue -- all the other characters were. |
