	Max Koch [Episode 1 to 49], played by Fritz Muliar Max Koch is a retired Police Officer who had prevented a youthful Richard Moser from turning to a life of crime by encouraging him to join the Police Force instead. He still acts very much as a father figure to Moser, and to Rex also.
