3 Gallery Images	Rex [Episodes 64-122], played by Rhett Butler Rhett Butler took over the role of Rex when Santo vom Haus Zieglmayer retired at about the age of 6 years. He had earlier made his debut in the full length feature film 'Baby Rex: The Little Inspector' as a puppy. Like Santo, Rhett was trained by Teresa Ann Miller. As can be seen from the image, Rhett was a slightly lighter colour than Santo.
