Amanda: At his house.
Kyle: Why didn’t you go there?
Amanda: Guess I wanted to come here.
Amanda: (to Kyle) I think you should get out of the tub . . . your wallowing.
Declan: Board games?
Lori: Better than sitting around and avoiding real conversation.
Kyle: (to Josh) You think this is fun! Everyone gets a kick out of it . . . but this notebook, this is the only thing I know about my life!
Kyle: (to self) They were talking about birthdays. Baby pictures. Blueberry pancakes. They were traditions . . . and I had none of my own.
Near the end of the episode, when the camera zooms into the newspaper article, you can see that the article is actually the same repetitive piece of text four times in a row:
William Kern, a biochemistry professor at the University of Washington was reported missing and has not yet been found.
A police spokesperson said confirmed that they are continuing their investigation but to date had no new information.
"We are investigating all leads, but have no new information on this case," said Chris Loosley, spokesperson for the police department.
"We're asking for the public's assistance and ask anyone with information to contact their local detachment or call the Tips line at 555-0155" he added.
A professor at the University of Washington, Kern's disappearance is reportedly out of character. With no leads in the case, mystery surrounds Kern's disappearance.
The University of Washington spokesperson commented that Kern's disappearance is a concern and not in character for the biochemistry professor.
Josh: (to Declan) They travel in lightning bolts, like in War of the Worlds.
War of the Worlds was a 2005 film starring Tom Cruise, a remake of the original film in 1953 and the radio broadcast in 1938.
All the versions were based from the book H.G. Wells wrote in 1898. The story revolved about an alien civilization coming to conquer the planet Earth.
