L.A. Dragnet (3 Fans)
 |
"L.A. Dragnet" Summary |
| |
A modern treatment of the Jack Webb classic, with Ed O'Neill as the hard-nosed Sergeant Friday and Ethan Embry as a new man, Detective Smith. Created by Dick Wolf, it tried to stay true to the source, with carefully detailed investigations and an epilogue describing the fate of the suspects, just as the original did. Sadly, it fared poorly next to Wolf's other crime juggernaut, the Law & Order franchise, and ultimately yielded only two short orders, a total of 22 episodes. It did introduce the prime time world to Eva Longoria, now famous for her work on Desperate Housewives.
