  Cultural References
While shooting the commercial for the Montecito, the director (Barry Bostwick) suggests to Ed (James Caan) that he loosen up a little bit and make his style more conversational like "Sonny talking to his father in The Godfather." Ed then claims never to have seen the movie. Of course, James Caan played Sonny in The Godfather.
