The ocean shore. Gulls careen in the air. Lassie runs along the water's edge playfully then onto the rocks. She sees a human figure clambering over the rocks in the distance. She barks. The figure nears -- it's a boy in a serape and his dog. The boy throws a stick for his dog to fetch. Lassie runs to meet them. The boy strokes Lassie while the terrier digs in the sand. Lassie greets the terrier but the boy tells Lassie that his dog Poco cannot hear. The boy introduces his dog to Lassie. Lassie nuzzles Poco in greeting. ..
