War is God's way of teaching Americans geography.

I guess they do. Bill Dwyer was on last season if I remember right and he was a pro before too.

Didn't Ant appear on a few seasons as a contestant? Seems like they'll let anyone compete, which has some pluses, but personally I'd like to see only "nobodies" compete instead of someone who's already established.

agreed.

A little sad tho that peeps who've done actually TV shows have careers fall enough to resort to this show.

Yeah, doesn't say a lot for their career when they need to beat out a bunch of unestablished comics on a reality TV show.

Some of my favorites have been nobodies (Josh Blue being at the top of that list), but I tend to pull for the underdog.

Even if he goes crazy, I will still call Chris "Superman"

Ant is a judge, not a contestant this year.

But yes, they don't prohibit pros from competing, if only because most amateur comics really aren't that good. It probably takes a long time of performing in front of people to gage audience reactions and know if your comedy is any good or not. So different from singing, where it's easier to know if it's good. No matter how joke a looks on paper, it can be completely different when done live, or by different people because of the way the audience reacts to their mannerisms and timing. I can see why they allow it.
