Great show again last night. The Tempe comics were pretty good, I thought. Surprisingly not as many women comics there, though.
Last night was the first time I think the judges got it truly correct, and REALLY picked all the funniest people. In the earlier rounds, I kind of thought they were taking some comics who weren't as good, just so they could have a certain ratio of males to females, whites to african-americans, deadpan guys to really goofy humor (Mel Silverback) and that sort of thing.
I suppose they want a certain mixture of people in the house, and they have to stack the top 32 in order to get it.
