LOVED last night's episode. The idea of the bait & switch of the "speed listeners" was really clever.
Amy absolutely deserved to win that challenge. I know there are people who will say she won because she's female, and all the listeners were female too (okay, not the drag queen, but kinda)... but really, the switcheroo caught her by surprise just the same as everyone else, and she ADAPTED her act to suit each person. Most of the others didn't, NO, COULDN'T, think on their feet so quickly. Amy was more flexible and funny in each situation and I hope she wins the whole darn thing.
I was sorry to see Matt & Doug go home. I really liked both of them. I haven't liked Ralph since the beginning - maybe because I didn't think that grandfather shtick he did to get into the final 10 was funny. Oh well.
Go Amy! |

I loved the concept of the last episode too. To be a good comic they've got to think on their feet, and it was very obvious that most of them have trouble with that. I wasn't too thrilled that Gerry used the same story over and over and over. Come on man, be original.
I really hope Amy wins too. Now that Debra left last week and Doug left this week, she's by far my favorite. I'm kinda pissed Ralph won last night. Compared to Matt and Doug, I thought his routine wasn't anything special at all. I don't think I laughed once during his routine, but Doug's was pretty hilarious. Damn that studio audience. |

I know I'm funnier than Gerry Dee...so why is he still there? How has he avoided the challenges? Does everyone figure he'll just be easier to beat in the finals?
Matt and Doug were hilarious! Ralph, not so much. Ever notice how he never does jokes? They've all been little character based vignettes...hopefully someone else will catch on and that will be his downfall.

Good point. He's bombed every challenge. I have no idea why he's still there.

Sorry, I just watched last week's episode and all I can say is BULLcrap. I f***ing hate Ralph Harris so much. I hope his family explodes into tiny little pieces and he's forced to eat those tiny little pieces of family and then his limbs start falling off one by one and then his brain melts and leaks out of his eye sockets.
Matt Kirshen rules. ITA with you, KingOrin, about how Ralph doesn't even tell jokes. He relies too much on delivery. While delivery is of course important, I prefer my jokes to actually have substance.
Doug is also great, but Matt was the only one in the head to head (to head) who made me laugh out loud. Repeatedly.
The only thing that can salvage this season is Amy pulling out a win. You go, girl. |
