Set in a world similar to the 19th century, except for the fact that it has flying ships. A pilot and navigator of a Vanship, Claus and Lavie, are acting as messengers for the Guild. However, their lives are turned upside down after they small girl from a star-shaped killing machine. They deliver the girl to a ship, the Sylvania, and become part of it's crew as fighter pilots...pitting them in the middle of a war for the Gateway to Exile.
