Law & Order: Los Angeles

Good cast, decent plot lines .... the problem is that the old magic that made the original Law and Order is gone. The "bad" guy loses every episode, so once it's about halfway through you can tell who's going down. Now, the last episode made finding the bad a guy a little more interesting, but still missing the best part of the original series. The "good guys" didn't always win, yes they won MOST of the time ... but not always.

I consider myself a HUGE Law and Order fan. L&O: TBJ was good (yet they canceled it) L&O: SVU is alright. SVU has great acting, good plot lines, and even though it can be a tad predictable one the bad guys getting it, they really deserve it (SVU is some hardcore stuff!). Again, I must say, the acting and character development is great in SVU. Then we have my least favorite L&O spin-off ... CI. This is by far the worst iteration of the series. It's not the acting, it's the predictable plot and the played out "character development". Every episode ends with super detective figuring out a way to make the bad guy confess ... come on, you mean to tell me he gets EVERY time? Plus his back story is so predictable and played out.

Sorry for getting off topic there, but I've seen up to episode 4 of L&O: LA and though I'm doubtful, I do see it having some potential ... we just need to be more like the original that we all came to love! I'll give it another episode or 2, but honestly I think what they are going for is just to play on the current infatuation the general public has with Hollywood celebrities these days. Mr Wolf, if you're reading this, go back to the way you did things before and not only will you have the celebrity crowd but you'll have us L&O (original) fans as well! God knows that celebrities get off the hook all the time, why not add some realism to the show?
