Episode Notes
This case appears to be inspired by the case of Tawana Brawley, an African-American woman from Wappingers Falls, NY, who gained notoriety for falsely accusing six white men of having raped her, and abandoned her with her body scrawled with racial slurs.

Her accusations were given widespread media attention in part from the involvement of her advisers, including the Reverend Al Sharpton.
