Episode Summary

When a white teenager is found murdered in Harlem, Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Green (Jesse L. Martin) backtrack through several possible suspects, including the two most likely who bragged about killing the youth and were seen wearing his jacket that night. However, when Assistant District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) take the case, they discover that two patrol officers (guest stars Danny Johnson and James Georgiades) are partially to blame for the tragedy -- thereby widening the political scope of their prosecution. Steven Hill and S. Epatha Merkerson also star.
