	Capt. James Deakins [Seasons 1-5], played by Jamey Sheridan The former Captain of the Major Case Squad. Captain Deakins oversees the investigations of all his detectives. He had a case with Bell's Palsy and now needs glasses on occasion. Captain Deakins left at the end of the 5th Season.


	Det. Carolyn Barek [Season 5-], played by Annabella Sciorra Detective Carolyn Barek was paired with Detective Logan during Season 5. She was a solo detective for awhile before the pairing, and that is why she is often seen talking to herself. She left at the end of the 5th Season for unknown reasons.


	Det. Mike Logan [Season 5- ,recurring previously], played by Chris Noth Detective Logan is back in "Criminal Intent" after his stint on Staten Island. He was partnered up with Detective Carolyn Barek during the 5th Season and is currently partnered with Detective Megan Wheeler. Detective Logan was given this new chance in New York by Captain James Deakins, who left at the end of the 5th Season.
