Detectives Goren and Eames poke around an insurance scam ring that passes off scrubbed-up homeless men for phony French executives -- and when the poor men turn up murdered, the suspects collect on lucrative life-insurance policies. However, after the cops recruit an extremely peculiar industry fraud expert to help them profile the culprits, they are surprised to find one of the ringleaders slain in his apartment.
