Detectives Benson and Stabler wonder where to start their investigation of a series of anonymous sexual attacks on helpless women who are trapped standing in crowds on subway cars at rush hour, but when one suspect finally is arrested, none of the victims can identify him. The cops try a new ploy by arranging an interview between their new police psychologist and their prime suspect. Meanwhile, a tentative Benson begins dating a crime reporter.
