When a 7-year-old girl escapes her kidnapper and rapist, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) begin an ardent search for the suspect. But when another girl is abducted under similar circumstances, the details of the two kidnappings indicate that both are the work of a serial rapist-murderer who kills his victims on the third day of their captivity.
