Corrine Nicholson is beaten badly and ends up in a coma. The only witness to the crime is Corrine and her husband Ben's daughter, Katie. However, Katie is mentally challenged and the detectives hesitate in having her testify. Together, Benson, Stabler and Dr. Huang work with Katie to put the pieces together.
