<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
A man brings his daughter to a free health clinic but discovers that it's permanently closed. The nurse in charge, Kay Maher, opens the doors anyway and gives the man's daughter an inhaler and treats her for asthma. The girl recovers in time.

Kay explains to Nate that the girl recovered but insists that the clinic shouldn't be closed. She says hat she recommended Fowler as a fund manager to the board, and he defrauded them. Parker is there and tries to reassure her. Kay works at Dalton Academy and met Fowler and recommended him to the other parents. Then he ripped them off. Nate explains that the government froze Fowler's assets but the clinic will be torn down in a week if it isn't funded. As Kay leaves, Parker insists that things went fine and Nate wonders where Sophie is.

Sophie meets with her current boyfriend Jack and suggests they check out an exhibit over the weekend. He tells her that their relationship isn't working out because she doesn't tell him the truth about herself. As he goes, she starts to tell him her real name but he doesn't hear her.

The team meets but Sophie isn't there. While they wait, Alec tries to explain his new metal detector disguised as a cell phone to Elliot. When Sophie doesn't arrive, Nate calls the meeting and Alec explains that the FBI eventually pinned down Fowler's scheme and put him under house arrest after freezing his assets. However, Fowler managed to stash $20 million before he was arrested at his apartment. Sophie arrives as Nate concludes that the money is at Fowler's apartment. Sophie says they need to get Fowler and the FBI out of the apartment. When Nate asks, she says she was running an errand but Parker helpfully says she was meeting with her girlfriend.

Alec continues, explaining that he's tapped into the FBI surveillance wireless feed. They can see Fowler in the apartment, and need to get him out so they can search the place. Nate figures that they need to get the judge to issue a day pass. They watch as Fowler's stepson Widmark comes in. Fowler complains that Widmark has lost his cell phone. The team reviews the file on Widmark, a 10-year-old fifth-grade student at Dalton Academy with no outstanding record. Nate realizes that judges give day passes for family events. Now they have to find an event for Widmark to excel in so Fowler will go to see him perform.

Alec goes to the Dayton Academy and meets with the headmaster, Jerrod. He claims he's from Botswana and tells Jerrod that the president has read his student thesis. They're rebuilding the education system and want Jerrod go to Botswana, all expenses paid. When his secretary dumps a huge load of work on him, Jerrod quickly agrees.

The parents assemble as the staff member explains that the board is sending a temporary headmaster. Nate, affecting a heavy German accent, arrives and the head of the parents' group, Mark Sanford, insists they don't need any changes. Nate claims that he's going to nourish the children's' mind and body, and calls in Sophie and Eliot respectively to deal with the teaching of each.

Alec and Parker disguise themselves as newlyweds and move into the apartment above Fowler. Now all Sophie and Eliot have to do is figure out something that Widmark is good at. Nate figures it'll be a breeze and tells them to find something Widmark is good at. Eliot starts with fencing and Skyler Sanford, Mark's son, trips him. Eliot tells him to stop and has Widmark and Skyler square off. It doesn't go well for Widmark. Sophie tries a spelling bee test but despite her best efforts to stack the deck, Widmark fails at spelling. Afterward, Sophie tries to assure him and he admits that although he tries, what he wants never happens. Widmark admits he just wants someone to like him. He asks Sophie if it's easier when you're a grown-up and she admits it doesn't.

Parker and Alec hide a motion detector in the hall. They hide when the FBI agents arrive, but Parker spots a man in the stairwell preparing to shoot at Fowler as he answers the door. Parker disarms him and Alec goes running after him. The two agents turn around and draw on Parker, and she realizes they're Agents Taggart and McSweeten, who she worked with when she was impersonating an FBI agent on a previous job. They recognize her and Alec when he returns. Taggart boasts that they've had a lot of success since they last met. Alec quickly explains that they're secret undercover backup on the Fowler case and Parker insists they don’t say anything.

The team regroups and Parker makes a sketch of the killer. Nate tells them to continue pretending to be FBI agents and get into Fowler's apartment. They hear Widmark singing by himself in the apartment and realize that he's an excellent singer. Nate gives her two days to present a musical.

Sophie organizes a science fair and asks everyone to sing their projects. However, Widmark freezes up when trying to sing about his bread mold. She praises him anyway and says he'll be singing the finale.

McSweeten and Taggart show Parker and Alec through Fowler's apartment. Parker uses Alec's metal detector to locate the hidden compartment in the wall that holds a metal box containing the money.

Sanford and the other parents protest Widmark's choice for the "science-sical", noting that his stepfather ripped them all off. Nate insists that they're not going to punish Widmark for his father's crimes and ushers them out. Once the parents are gone, Nate suggests she find a way to make things work in the school setting. Sophie admits it's the best she could do but Nate says that they have to focus on Fowler, not Widmark. She insists that nobody sees Widmark as he really is and everybody deserves that.

Alec and Parker go over the plans and figure out how to break into Fowler's apartment. Parker is sure she can get in. Taggart and McSweeten arrive with coffee and McSweeten starts flirting with Parker. Taggart figures his partner is sweet on Parker and tells Alec that Fowler has a day pass to see Widmark. However, Taggart expects Alec and Parker to accompany them as backup. Alec contacts Nate, who warns that Widmark is unable to sing.

Fowler and his wife, Claudine, grab their camera and prepare to leave for the show. As McSweeten checks the bag, Alec says that Parker is going to have to stay and watch the surveillance equipment. Taggart plays matchmaker and volunteers McSweeten to stay with Parker. Alec has no choice but to stay behind and let Parker go with McSweeten. He tells Parker to talk him through the break-in.

As people come in for the performance, Sophie realizes that Widmark is missing. She goes to find him while Nate checks on Alec, who is preparing to climb the building to Fowler's window and force his way in.

Sophie finds Widmark crying in the boy's bathroom. Meanwhile, Parker is stuck outside the theater with McSweeten, who insists on talking to her. She tries to talk Parker through the break-via her hidden transmitter in without giving herself away.

Sophie starts to tell Widmark what he has to do, but Nate warns her that she can't give him orders. He tells her to talk to Widmark. Sophie admits that she's not good at being honest and doesn’t have many friends. Widmark explains that because of what his step dad did, his friends don't talk to him any more. She says that his old friends aren't seeing him for what he is.

Alec opens the security panel and Parker manages to talk him through, concealing her instructions in a discussion about relationships with McSweeten. She manages to tell him to snip the blue output wire and Parker sighs in relief. Alec gets the compartment open and removes the case.

Sophie tells Widmark she was an actress but others didn't like her. Widmark suggests that maybe they couldn't see her for who she is. She admits she's been lying for so long she doesn't know what he truth is. Widmark doesn't want to lie and Sophie tells him that he needs to go out thee and be himself. She promises him that if he does, people will believe in him.

Alec gets the safebox out and opens it. However, he discovers that it's empty. Meanwhile, Eliot spots the killer in the audience.

The science-sical begins and the team figures out that nobody knew they were going to be there except for Fowler, the FBI agents, and the team. Nate figures that Fowler plans to kill McSweeten and Taggart and make a run for it. Eliot goes to capture the killer while Nate remembers that Fowler complained that Widmark lost his cell phone. Parker figures that there's something on the tapes in Fowler's bag, and tells Sophie to try and get it. She warns that she's busy and refuses to abandon Widmark.

Eliot takes on the killer backstage and the two fight it out. Alec checks Widmark's cell phone and finds text messages to Skyler. They realize that Mark Sanford, Skyler's father, was the one who has the phone. Nate watches as Sanford gets up and switches bags with Fowler.

Widmark arrives for his song and goes on stage to sing. It goes well and Sophie tries to stop Eliot from interrupting the finale. Eliot obliges and takes down the killer, then dumps him in a closet. His mother Claudine is thrilled to hear her son do well but Fowler is preoccupied. As the audience gives Widmark a standing ovation, Nate steals Fowler's new bag and finds a false identification and airplane tickets to Bogota, courtesy of Sanford.

Eliot grabs Sanford and Sophie takes Fowler's original bag. She removes the tape and plays it on the auditorium loudspeaker system. It has Sanford incriminating himself and Fowler realizes he's been betrayed. He makes a run for it and Nate trips him so that Taggart can arrest him. McSweeten goes backstage and arrests Sanford as

Later, Nate and Sophie take a check for $20 million to Kay. They explain that Fowler recorded his conversation with Sanford and used it to blackmail him into providing him with a false ID and travel tickets. Claudine and Widmark are working at the clinic now that Fowler is in jail. As they leave, Nate asks how it felt for Sophie to tell the truth. She tells him not to get used to it, because she wouldn't be Sophie if she told the truth all day. Nate wonders if that's a good thing but Sophie insists it isn't.
