Mr. Weibe comes to see former hockey player and self-made hedge fund manager Mark Vector and complains that he's been wiped out, and it's Vector's fault. He points out that he didn't authorize any of the trades that Vector made for him. Vector notes that he received a call from the SEC and blames Weibe, and then viciously beats him.
Weibe comes to see Nate at the bar, and informs him that the police won't pursue the attack without witnesses, and that he doesn’t have enough money to sue. Nate explains that Vector cut a deal with the government for testimony in return for immunity, so the SEC won't investigate the man. He promises that Vector won't get away with it again. As Weibe leaves, the Italian Woman arrives and comments on Nate's crusade. She warns him that she gave Nate six months to bring down Moreau, and he's running out of time. In response, Nate tells her that Vector is connected to Moreau, and the Italian confirms his suspicion. She tells Nate that Vector's slate is wiped clean once he testifies, and Nate's is only clean once he brings in Moreau. As she leaves, the Italian tells Nate that he won't get any help from her or her people.
Nate meets with the team, but they want to know why they don't get to meet the Italian. He admits that he doesn’t like being manipulated and just wants to focus on helping Weibe. Hardison runs the briefing and explains that after Vector played hockey, he went into the market picking stocks. In reality, he ripped off his former fans that invested with him and then laundered money for mobsters. Now, Vector is testifying against his former mob clients in return for immunity. They need to find out what Vector has on Moreau before he testifies the next day and gets immunity.
Nate figures they can trick Vector into making a new deal. He ex-hockey player has two weaknesses: a violent temper and a love of partying. When Vector gets in trouble, he calls Daniel Firestone, a fixer lawyer. Sophie's job will be to steal Firestone.
Vector is arriving in Boston by plane, and the team goes to the airport to meet him first before Vector's FBI handler picks him up. Nate and Parker arrive and discover that the FBI handler is McSweeten, who they've met before and has a crush on Parker. Nate calls McSweeten's field office and pretends to be Vector, and complains that McSweeten isn't there. Hardison changes the arrival date and the gate, and McSweeten's boss calls him to send him to the wrong gate.
Sophie approaches Firestone, posing as an investment banker, and asks for his help dealing with a FBI investigation. She needs him to go to Japan and offers him a $100,000 retainer fee. Firestone refers her to his colleague, Adam Greaves, and says he'll help her stay out of jail. Once he leaves, Sophie reveals she taped his conversation.
Next, the team throws a party so Vector can get in trouble. Parker approaches Vector as he arrives and pretends that he took her luggage. Then she pretends to recognize him and fawns over Vector, and he invites her to a drink. Parker picks the bar and they go to McRory's Place. She gets him steadily more drunk, and Sophie gives her tips via earbud on how to seduce Vector. Parker goes with the sexy tomboy approach and starts punching Vector in the shoulder. When Vector gets a call, Parker notices that the photo of Vector on the cellphone is a slightly different color. Meanwhile, Nate prepares one of the condo bedrooms, complete with a drugged glass of alcohol, and clears out with Sophie. Parker finally takes Vector upstairs. The next morning, he wakes up and discovers that she's dead, strangled to death, and he has scratch marks on his cheek.
Vector calls Firestone and Hardison intercepts the call. Using the altered recording of Firestone's voice, Hardison has "Firestone" tell Vector to contact Adam Greaves. Nate then tells them that he has to get Vector to trust him, and Sophie will move in as the prosecutor. To pull off the con, they need the original immunity agreement with Vector's signature on it. Eliot and Hardison go to the courthouse, posing as policemen, and Hardison manages to get them a real police car. In the bar, Nate waits a bit to soften Vector up. Sophie notes that it reminds her of old times when they were on different sides, and Nate admits he prefers them on the same side. Nate finally goes up and Sophie wishes him luck.
At the courthouse, Eliot and Hardison go in and Hardison asks for Prosecutor LaPointe. When she comes out, they tell her they were told to get a subpoena. Desperate, LaPointe gives them the entire file. Hardison figures they've pulled it off. However, as they leave, LaPointe orders them to take a grand jury witness, Curtis, back to jail. They have no choice but to play along.
Nate arrives and confirms that Vector is in deep trouble.
As they drive Curtis back to the station, Eliot and Hardison argue.
Sophie spots McSweeten outside and they realize he tracked Vector by tracking the taxis and security cameras. Nate figures they need to put someone on McSweeten that the FBI agent trusts. Parker is less than thrilled but has no choice but to rappel down the side of the building. Meanwhile, Sophie needs the immunity agreement and calls Eliot and Hardison, who are dealing with a vomiting witness. They receive a call about an armed suspect in a domestic case and Eliot insists on taking it. It turns out the wife is armed with a baseball bat and there's no children, so Eliot tells the wife to sit down. Insulted, the husband goes after Hardison.
As McSweeten comes into the bar and looks for Vector, Parker drops down outside and then comes in and introduces herself as Special Agent Hagen. She explains that she's been undercover since the last time they met, and he points out that her lips are blue from makeup. Parker claims she's undercover with the Russians and it's cold, and takes a call. As McSweeten goes outside, Nate points him out to Vector and says that they can't meet him until they get the death resolved. As they talk, Nate notices someone watching them from a building across the street.
As Hardison and Eliot go back to their car, they realize that Curtis has escaped. They have no choice but to search for him.
Nate demands answers from Vector, insisting that he's protected by lawyer-client privilege. Using suggestion, he convinces Vector that he lost his temper and choked Parker to death. Next, Nate calls the district attorney so they can negotiate a new deal.
Eliot and Hardison spot Curtis and a chase ensues. They easily capture him but Curtis explains that he told the grand jury that dirty cops are the ones involved in his money-laundering case, and that he'll be killed if they take him back.
McSweeten comes back in and admits he's been trying to find Parker for months. She tells him she knows about Vector, and he admits that he hasn't said anything about losing his witness to avoid ruining his career. Eliot and Hardison arrive and give Sophie the immunity papers, but Eliot worries that something doesn't make sense.
Sophie goes upstairs recites from his original immunity deal to show she knows all about his case. She then tells him that to get out of murder, he's going to have to give up Moreau. Vector balks and Nate insists he shouldn't take the deal. That just convinces Vector to give up Moreau and offers to show them where Moreau parks his money. Sophie demands specifics and Vector says he can give them everything, but says that he has everything memorized.
Downstairs, the dirty cops looking for their witness come in, undercover, but Eliot spots them and figures that they're there to kill Vector. Nate realizes something is going on. Meanwhile, McSweeten tries to explain and Parker takes offense when he suggests the woman Vector came in with is a bimbo. She suggests they search a building and leads him into the elevator.
Upstairs, Nate points out the man across the street to Vector and realizes that Moreau knows that Vector can incriminate him. They duck for cover as the sniper opens fire, and Nate realizes someone at the airport cloned Vector's cellphone.
While Hardison gets to the fuse box, Eliot attacks the dirty cops and then runs out into the next room. He has Hardison cut the lights and then takes them out, using the darkness as cover. Next, Hardison cuts the power to the elevator and Parker has McSweeten boost her out through the roof hatch. She admits that he's sweet... and then slips away, leaving him stranded.
The last cop finds Hardison, who takes him out. Eliot tells Nate that they're clear downstairs, and Nate tells them where the sniper is positioned. As Eliot runs across the street to deal with the killer, Hardison accesses the other building's systems and sets off the fire alarms and sprinklers. The sniper slips away before the firemen arrive, and Eliot arrives and confirms it's a clean hit, meaning the sniper works for Moreau.
Vector tells Nate and Sophie that he won't testify against Moreau and that he's safer in jail. He gets into the elevator and tells McSweeten to get him to the courthouse to testify before the grand jury. Parker meets with Sophie and Nate, and Sophie figures that Vector will never give up Moreau's codes. Nate realizes that they already have the codes, tells Eliot and Hardison to get to the courthouse, and explains Parker's part of the plan. He then has Sophie call the FBI to pick up the dirty cops, while he goes to see the Italian.
Firestone meets Vector at the courthouse, who has no idea why Vector thinks he's in Japan. He sends Vector in to testify, and LaPointe calls Vector to the stand. He's sworn in and starts to testify, but spots Weibe in the audience. Weibe makes a silent throat-cutting gestures, and then sees Parker, alive and well, come in and sit by McSweeten. He panics and accuses everyone of conspiring against him, and figures McSweeten is impersonating an FBI agent. Eliot and Hardison take Vector away, and Eliot whispers that they are working for Moreau. Vector grabs his gun and goes berserk, and Parker tasers him unconscious. The court bailiffs take Vector away while Eliot admits to Hardison and Parker that he has an air-gun. They wonder where their prisoner ended up, and Parker points out that she found him, but they said they couldn't turn him over to the Boston police.
Outside, McSweeten is surprised to find an important prisoner locked up in his trunk, and a note from Parker.
Later, Nate goes to Vector's office and meets with the Italian. He explains that she knew all along what was going on, and set the dirty cops on them. The Italian readily admits that she did, but notes that the sniper was an outside contractor she didn't know about. When she admits it's a shame that Nate didn't get the codes, he tells her that Vector used the color difference between the photo of himself on his cellphone, and the one on his office, as a code. Nate grabbed Vector's phone at the condo, and compares the two photos. The code reveals Moreau's accounts. Nate tells the Italian that he's going to get Weibe his money back, and then take down Vector on his own. He warns her that if she comes after his people, he'll come after her. Once he leaves, the Italian calls her superiors and assures them that Nate is now going after Moreau on his own, and their hands are clean.
Nate returns to the bar and finds a nervous Sophie waiting for him. She warns him that making another enemy isn't a good idea, but Nate figures the situation is much bigger than the Italian. Sophie notes that if they go after Moreau now, it's a choice. Nate agrees and says that they need to take Moreau down. She agrees and offers a toast to victory.
