The scene opens in Mexico with a woman in the bathroom stall and a syringe falls on the ground. Her name is Marla and she is crying. She is talking on the phone saying that she can’t do it and that she has to get back to her daughter. The next scene shows her daughter waking up in the morning asking for her mother, but she is not there.

Foster is telling Lightman that he doesn’t trust her and that he needs to get out and go on vacation. He goes willingly. But, little does she know, Lightman has his laptop with him on his vacation and he is spying on the office through a broadcast. Emily tells him that he either cuts it out or she will start picking up boys around the pool. Lightman agrees but his vacation is interrupted when Lou from the U.S. Embassy approaches him and says that he needs his help. Marla Seegar has been missing for 2 days and the Mexican police are not doing anything to find her. Her 12-year old daughter is left behind and the State Department says to leave it in the hands of the locals. But Lou doesn’t want to ignore it because 200 Americans disappear a month and nothing is done about it. Lightman talks to Tyler, Marla’s daughter, in the hotel and she is devastated. Emily reassures her that Lightman will find her mom and Lightman picks up that Tyler is hiding something. She pulls out a piece of paper with a man’s picture on it. She informs Lightman that she signed her mom up for an online dating account and found a man for her. She told the man that she was going to Mexico with her mom and she is worried that something bad happened.

Back in the United States, in Washington D.C, Foster and Eli are investigating a tainted blood epidemic in a hospital. The nurse tells Foster that there are patients that are going to need blood transfusions and that they need people that they can trust. Agent Reynolds tells Foster that there are a few people who are going to the Lightman group for questioning. Jack from the Radar firm enters because the CDC contacted him. When asking if there is a problem, Jack tells that he and Lightman are “friendly rivals”. Back at the Lightman group the two that Agent Reynolds rounded up are ready. Reynolds wants to know what the deal is with Lightman and Radar firm. Foster tells him that Lightman despises him and that all Jack wants is money and publicity. Reynolds doesn’t trust Jack either.

In Mexico Lightman and Emily enter the police station and Emily tells them that her dad is a deception expert in the United States and Lightman tells him that the bartender is giving false information. The detective doesn’t care and says that the lady missing was unstable and a possible drug user. When he finds out that Lightman and Emily spoke with Tyler, the detective tells them to back off from the case. Lightman and Emily go to the bar that Marla disappeared from. Small talk with the bartender starts and Emily asks about Marla. Emily notices a mysterious man looming in the doorway of the bar. Miguel, the bartender, is an awful liar and after he is caught in his lie he asks if Lightman is the police. He is interrupted by a female that says something to him in Spanish and he leaves. Back in the hotel, Lightman gets a hold of Torres and tells her to get to Mexico and that a lady has gone missing. Foster catches wind of this and is kind of frustrated because Lightman is supposed to be on vacation and not working.

Eli is setting up the camera and Foster and Jack are talking about how the Lightman Group is doing. Foster informs him that she is equal partner in the group and that she is the leader for the time and not Jack. She also informs Jack not to use her as a springboard to get back at Lightman. Meanwhile one of the two blood bank workers in nervous and voices that he wants to go. Foster lets him go but the woman needs to stay. The guilty party never wants to bring attention to them. In the interrogation room, the questioning begins and Foster tells that the woman knew that her boss was going to fire and asks if it was out of retaliation. Outside the room Eli and Jack are monitoring the woman’s heart rate and notice that Foster is getting close. Jack tells that Lightman never appreciates his employees and that it wasn’t until he got out that he realized his true potential. He asks when Eli is going to realize his true potential. Foster gets the woman to confess that she didn’t run through the test all the way because she had to leave early. Foster is sure that she has caught the culprit but there has been another death from a blood transfusion and that the blood from the woman’s blood bank was not it.

Back in Mexico, Torres arrives and Lightman informs her that she is going on a blind date and that the police are not helping. Torres tells Lightman of Radar coming in to assist the Lightman Group. The same man approaches that Emily saw at the bar and asks Lightman if he is going to see the sites. Lightman asks where he is from. Torres asks who he is and Lightman says that he is either from the Police or the Drug Cartel. Lightman meets Miguel at a bar and starts asking more questions. Miguel talks of another American girl that was found dead 4 months ago and that Lightman needs to leave. A group of gang members enter the bar. Torres goes out to tell the cab driver that they are ready to leave but it is gone. Lightman then tells that he will give $200 to the person who will give them a ride back to the hotel. Torres was certain that they were going to get killed but Lightman said the driver was just happy to earn some honest money for a change. Lightman tells Torres to find out what Radar is up to. And she tries to give him her opinion but Lightman is not interested in it. Emily is talking to the Internet Site guy that was supposed to meet Marla and Lightman yells at the guy. Offended Emily tells him that he was the guy and Lightman tells that he has as a con-man in his office back in the U.S and a daughter trying to act like Nancy Drew.

Later on the “blind date”, Torres is looking sultry when she approaches the same guy and we find out his name is Jerry Conway. Torres gets him to start talking about Marla. Meanwhile back in the Lightman Group, Jack and Foster are interviewing more people and they are not talking until Lightman, who is watching and listening from the bar in Mexico, sends a text to Eli telling to give Foster the ‘Blue” folder. Foster informs that they have background checks and tells that they could scourer it. Jack looks at the folder but it is blank. The old scare tactic. Thompkins is revealed as the new driver and that he is a felon. Torres reports to Lightman and tells that Conway is a married man that looks for some loving when on business trip, but has nothing to do with the disappearance of Marla. He says that he talked to Marla for 2 minutes, she left, and talked with a couple. Lightman notices the same guy that was at the bar and outside the hotel in the corner and wants to know if he is following him. The man says that Lightman has a lovely friend and daughter. Lightman takes his picture and rushes over to the detective to tell him that he sent someone to follow him. But the detective didn’t do it but it was the Drug Cartel. The detective tells Lightman there is no case there and that he has bigger cases to deal with like a woman killing her mother. But Lightman reads her expressions and says that the boyfriend is using his anger to hide something and to question him. The detective then tells that the couple that Marla talked to is a dead end too.

Back at the Lightman group Jack and Foster are interrogating Tompkins of his prior felony and start to get to the bottom line. Turns out that Tompkins get sexually aroused at seeing blood and guts. Eli notices that his pupils dilated and that he was sexually aroused too. But he is not the guy and Foster is mad that she doesn’t have anything to give the CDC. Reporter Mackenzie gets through the security and Jack takes her down the hall to talk to her. Lightman is operating the building’s operations and makes the fire sprinklers go off on them as they are talking. Torres gets off the phone and tells that the woman from Miami was a Romona Pasner. She was found dead and it was ruled as an accident. She informs that Radar is making an impression on Foster. Lightman is a little jealous. Lightman talks with the couple that Marla approached and can tell that they are lying. He tries to get the case that the wife is holding and she puts up a fight. He tells that customs is going to take the case because he is going to call them and then the husband tells that a fertility clinic in Mexico matches egg donors to couples and that they thought Marla was the one. He lets them go. Back at the hotel Emily and Tyler are playing video games and Emily closes the door on Lightman’s face. Ouch! Lightman ignores it and tells Torres that Marla was posing as an egg donor and was giving herself hormone injections. Lou from the Embassy enters and says that he has been “reassigned” and threatened by the look on his face.

Lightman and Torres go to the clinic posing as a married couple and they meet with the head guy. Whitman tells them that the donors get a free trip to Mexico and money for their time but that nobody takes the money because they are happy to help out a couple. Dr. Alvarez comes in during the meeting and insists that he speak Whitman. Lightman asks Dr. Alvarez about the reason why his “wife” can’t conceive is because the estrogen blockage is being caused by the Coriolis Effect. He agrees with him. In the hallway Torres questions the reference to the Coriolis Effect and that it refers to the Earth’s rotation and that the doctor agreed. That is because he is not a doctor and that the fertility clinic is running a con.

At the Lightman group Foster is trying to decipher the interview of the two lab workers again and notices that one of them, Yager, keeps looking behind him. The camera glitches and Eli tells that they had to take a break. But after the break, Yager is more relaxed. It is because a bottle that he was looking at before, was now gone. They rush to the lab and the two lab technicians are there and they find the bottle that they hid. It is positive for narcotics and they realize that they have been running a drug lab. Meanwhile, back in Mexico, Lightman and Torres wait for Dr. Alvarez and tell that Whitman sold him out. He admits that Whitman brought in Marla and Dr. Alvarez began the extraction of the eggs and there were complications. He said that Whitman took her to his apartment and that she is dying. They rescue Marla in time and the Detective thanks Lightman. He tells that his boss was the one who sent the man to threaten his daughter and that he is going to keep an eye on his boss. Mother and daughter are reunited and Emily tells Lightman that she can throw tantrums and spend his money and Lightman can be protective.

Back at the hospital, Foster reveals the findings and that it was a drug lab within a lab that was tainting the blood and that they can pull all the blood from that place. Jack enters and alerts that he did an exclusive interview with Mackenzie the reporter. Foster realizes that the merger was only to get back at the Lightman Group on his way out; Jack gives his card to Eli and said for him to keep it in case he was thinking of making any “life changing experiences”. In the interview however, Jack tells that Foster was the brains in all of the operation. Lightman gets back and Foster receives flowers from Jack. Lightman is making sure that Jack didn’t get anywhere he shouldn’t. On his way up to Eli, he gives Eli a card and says in case you are thinking of making any “life changing experiences”. Man, he is good!
