Grievous Bodily Harm - Recap

The scene opens with Lightman telling a guy that he is lying. A big man tells Lightman that he is playing with them and Lightman is shot. Flashback before the incident to the Office of Lightman Group, Foster tells Lightman that a Sally Robinson from London is waiting for him. But it is a joke and Terry Marsh, Lightman’s old partner in crime and best mate is there. He tries to get Foster to go with them but Lightman tells Terry to leave it and come. Terry and Lightman are at a bar and they agree that all the things that happened in the past are the past. They enter a party and Terry wants Lightman to play Texas Hold em and win $12,000 back. Back at the office, Reynolds says that Terry is on the Scotland Yard’s watch list and is on the FBI’s when he is in the United States. Reynolds has to dig in Lightman’s past to get dirt on Terry to be able to protect Lightman’s future.

Back at the poker party, Lightman and Terry are playing cards and the game gets to the point when a mystery man goes all in. Lightman calls and reads him. Lightman only has a Jack high. Not a winning hand. Terry asks for a little privacy and Lightman finds out that Terry doesn’t owe $12,000, but he really owes him $95,000. He smacks Terry on the head and agrees to help him out. Meanwhile Foster and Torres are watching a video of a threat to kill at a prep-school and the headmaster wants to know if he needs to close the school. Foster tells that they need to close the school regardless and the headmaster doesn’t want to. He says that it would ruin him. It is all about the money. Torres goes to the school and shows the video to the students and starts to watch out for the students’ reaction to it. Back in the poker room, Lightman wins the money back and then some for Terry and the mystery man picks up on it. Lightman says that there is $105,000 there and that he can keep the change but Terry is clear. Terry attempts to get the change but Lightman tells him no. Outside Terry talks to Lightman and thanks him for his help. He leaves and says that is all he is helping Terry with.

Lightman returns to the office in the morning and is hung over. He walks in the room where the team is watching the video of the school and notices that some of the kids are looking at each other and the teacher. Lightman goes home but Terry is there and his fingers have been broken. The poker guys found out who Lightman was and are waiting in a van around the corner and that if he doesn’t come then Terry is going to die. Lightman returns to the office and Reynolds tells that Terry is dealing with criminal. We find out that the mystery man at the poker table was Lance McLeallan, a crime boss. Lightman needs Reynold’s help in it to help him to help Terry. Lightman walks in the room where the main kids in the video that turned and asked who made the tape. Jared Owens confesses. But in the interrogation room, Foster doesn’t believe him. Eli pulls up the video and finds out that Stacy another girl in the room, is relieved when Jared confesses. They have a new target.

Lightman returns home again. Terry is there and he is wearing Lightman’s shirt. Lightman demands to know what is going on. Terry says he doesn’t know but Lightman grabs his broken fingers and finds out that Terry sold a fake home to someone “connected”. Terry thanks him again but Lightman tells him to shut-up. Back at Lightman Group, Foster tells Eli to bring in Stacy for questioning. Lightman is taken to a hotel room where Lance is there. He asks Lightman to pick out the liar in his group. But the liar is Lance. There is no one in the room that is a liar. He set him up as a test. Foster questions Stacey. She made the video but she didn’t want to kill anyone. Jasmine is a girl that picks on Stacey and Eli and Torres find out that the teacher is also the P.E. Teacher as well and that he turned a blind eye to Stacey being picked on. They send Jasmine into questioning.

Meanwhile back at the hotel room, Lance is there getting to know the relationship between Lightman and Terry and we get to know the past of Lightman and how he used to run scams with Terry. Lightman recognizes the look on Lance’s face that Terry’s time on the Earth is short. Lance laughs it off. A man is supposed to meet with them and Lightman tells him to move the meeting because of an FBI agent is tailing Terry. Back at Lightman group, Jasmine tells that she wanted to stop teasing Stacey but that the P.E. Teacher did not want them to stop. He claims that he did not know about it but he is lying. Torres wants to know where Stacey is and they find out that she went to the bathroom 10 minutes ago. They find Stacey unconscious without a pulse on the floor. Foster runs in and says that it wasn’t Homicidal Intent but Suicidal Intent that Stacey was portraying. Reynolds notices that Lightman is moving and he follows the van. They rush Stacy to the hospital. The car doors open up at a warehouse and Terry and Lightman are escorted to a room and Terry tells that he did 3 years in prison saving Lightman’s skin and that Lightman owes him. Reynolds notices that he was given the slip. Lightman is escorted to the man who Lance wants to know if he is lying or not. Lightman reads that the guy believes that the counterfeit money is flawless but that is not good enough for Lance. Lightman and Terry meet with the counterfeiter and starts to make a basis to see if he is lying. He tells Lance that they are lying.

Stacey is alive she tells that it was the teacher that was making fun of her and told the others to keep it up. The teacher is appalled of the accusations and calls Stacey a psychopath. But he is lying when he says that he didn’t do it. He gets upset and leaves. Meanwhile at the warehouse, Lightman tells that the counterfeiter is a liar still and one of Lance’s cronies tells Lightman that he has been playing them and shoots him. Reynolds appears and shoots the guy that shot Lightman and another. But, it turns out that it was all a fake and that the crony that shot Lightman was an FBI agent and that they have been working to get Terry and Lance for years. Lightman tells Reynolds that Terry walks for his part in all of it and asks to have a minute alone. Lightman punches him. Terry has been in on the deal all along and Lightman tells him that Terry owes him for saving his tail from the FBI. Back at the office, the team tells Lightman when he comes in his office that they are there because it is an intervention and that he doesn’t trust them. Lightman tells Foster in the hall that Terry took the fall for a little trouble back in the day and that he owed him. That nobody can compare to the friendship he had with Terry. He says goodnight to Foster.
