Recap

The scene opens with Victor walking in to the bedroom where his younger and more attractive wife, Clara has a surprise for him. She undresses and he undresses and one thing leads another. After the „ordeal”, Clara tells Victor to stay in bed and leaves him. The next scene shows Victor being zipped up in a body bag and a distraut Clara is crying. The scene then fast forwards to 17 months later where Clara is being hounded by reporters asking questions about her deceased husband and a girl stops to ask Clara a question. Zoe, who is defending Clara in her case, asks the girl where her credentials are. She knows who put her up to asking questions. Lightman is meeting with Crosby, an attorney prosecuting Clara, and he wants Lightman to help him convict her with his talent. Zoe comes in and tells that Lightman sent a girl to question Clara so that he could see her reaction to the question on the television. Lightman tells Zoe that Crosby wants him to be his expert witness in the case. Zoe tells that she will rip Lightman apart in the courts and Lightman tells that Clara is hiding something. He tells that she is pushing out the tears and that she was left with $1.2 Billion and is not surprised to find out that she doesn’t have an alibi to claim where she was for the 40 minutes that she “can’t remember”. Zoe insults Lightman’s methods and tells that it has a large margin for error. ..
