The episode begins with Lightman opening a box. Loker tells that the office of Homeland Security is there are they are testing out the new handheld lie detector test. Lightman pulls out an egg and takes it in the room where Tom Whitmore and Secretary Adam Miller are with Foster viewing the new handheld lie detector in action. Lightman gives him an egg. It is what the West Africans used it and tells that it is a flawed system the same as the new lie detector. A sexy Torres enters the interviewing room and the man looses focus and fails the polygraph. Foster tells that his new gadget is false. Whitmore makes the egg break and Lightman tells that he would have been found guilty. Miller is upset with Whitmore and asks how much money was spent. Whitmore tells that it is alright but Lightman picks up that he is lying. They show a video of Nixon taking a step back to show that he is lying.

Lightman is taking training on the deception test and Foster tells that he needs to take Torres under his wing and he tells that she has no proper training to handle the government case. He wants Foster to go. But she is going to a basketball game. Torres enters and Lightman tests her with the test at 3 times speed and she gets all the facial cues. He tells her to go with him. They go to the training grounds where Sheila Lake is accusing Sgt. Russell Scott of rape. The soldier briefing Lightman and Torres tells that they need to know if Lake is telling the truth but doesn’t want to Court Marshall the Sergeant yet. Lightman tells that they can’t help them and tells for them to call when they want the truth. But the soldier wants the truth. Meanwhile at the basketball game, Foster and Loker are admiring the game and meet Jeremy Levine. They are introduced Earl White, the one accused of taking a bribe. After talking to him briefly, Levine asks if White is lying and they tell that he is showing signs of anxiety but that is all.

Lightman and Torres interview Lake and she tells them about the rape that happened. Through the process, Lightman picks up on facial cues when Lake is talking. He leaves the room and tells Torres that he is only observing. Foster is there and gives him the psych evaluation of the Sergeant. They interview him and he admits straightly that he did not rape Lake. Lightman tells that he can go and as he goes, Lightman compliments his muscles and asks if he would like to go out for a drink. He objects and leaves the room. Torres wants to know what that was about and Foster tells that he was seeing if Scott was going to show disgust. He tells that Lake made two mouth shrugs and that she is lying. They watch the video again and tells that she is lying. Torres is defending Lake by saying that Scott is a bad man. Lightman tells that she is against the Sergeant because she is a woman. Torres is offended. Lightman’s secretary shows Lightman a harassment report on Sgt. Scott to which Torres smiles a little bit. Lightman points it out to her and she gets scared. Foster tells Torres to return to Fort Mead and check in the reports of Lake and Scott and to hang in there.

Foster tells Lightman to take it easy with Torres. He tells her that Torres has a problem of understanding more because she is a natural. They go up to a pita vendor and he is putting the ingredients in by hand. Lightman asks if he washed his hands. The man lies and says that he did. To the question to if he went to the bathroom, he lies again to which Lightman asks if anyone wants a side of feces. Loker and Foster meet with Howard Taft and they pull out the stress analyzer and ask about his relationship with White.

Lake’s bunk mates enter the Lightman Group and Lightman leaves the video and the remote in the room and takes one of the bunk mates in a separate room. The girls play the video of Lake and there is a recording device recording everything. Foster asks Loker if he finished with the stress analyzer test on Taft. They sit down and evaluate that he has changes in his tone of voice several times in the interview. He is lying about giving bribes. However, the money was not spent by White. They need to interview White and get inside his head. Torres comes in and tells Foster that Sgt. Scott has a past. The Army let him in through “Moral Waiver”, a way to let misdemeanor criminals through. However, the Army is desperate and will allow even felons through. Arson is listed as one and Foster tells that Arson is very close to rape and is strong evidence against him. They show Lightman but he is not interested in that because he has the video footage of the platoon mates of Lake on tape. They are showing no emotion to the tape of Lake talking of the rape.

They meet with Lake again and Lightman tells that there was no rape. Torres lashes into her about the dishonor she has given women in the Army. But Lake says that she was doing a good thing. Back at the Lightman Group, Loker brings in several women in uniform to run a test on the influence on credibility to spot lies with women in uniform. Torres goes in and Loker asks how it is going with Lightman and he tells it is because of she is a natural and not someone who studied for years. Foster is evaluating White’s video of the game and at the mention of going Pro, he shows signs of extreme hatred. Lightman tells if Foster would lie to right a wrong. She says that she would. Lightman shows Foster a video of the entire platoon and each show disgust when mention of Sgt. Scott. He thinks that Sgt. Scott raped a girl but none of them. Torres enters and Foster says that Scott possibly raped a girl. She shows the smile again and Lightman tells that she was wrong that Lake was not raped. Torres is offended and leaves after Lightman tells to get Scott again. Foster is upset

Foster asks a muffin and Loker tells that she doesn’t want to eat them. Loker shows Foster pictures of White during a basketball game and cannot pick out the facial expressions. Foster says that they aren’t and knows what it is. Meanwhile, Torres tells that all the past soldiers were accounted for except for a Rebecca Mets who went A-Wall. They match the handwriting of the harassment report and Lightman and Torres go to meet her. They knock on the door of her grandfather’s home and asks if Rebecca is there. He lies and Lightman walks in and takes his cane and makes noise. Rebecca runs downstairs. Torres talks with Rebecca about Lake and Rebecca tells that Sgt. Scott raped her every day in Afghanistan. When she got back she ran. Rebecca denies to go back and Lightman opens the door and Police and Military Police arrest her. Inside a cell, Rebecca is upset with Torres and Lightman and she shows signs of fear. She is afraid that the Army won’t believe her. It doesn’t matter if they believe her, they will believe Lightman.

Earl White is met with Loker and Foster and he signs the basketball for Foster. He mentions pro and shows anger again. Foster tells that he is showing anger because he knows that there isn’t going to be any pro career. Loker passes the ball to White and he shows signs of pain. He has Arthritis and he tells that Taft gave was the only money he was going to see. Meanwhile, back at Ford Mead, Lightman and Torres tells that it is not over and that they have evidence that Sgt. Scott raped Rebecca. But in the barracks, Sott shows pictures of him and Rebecca together and tells that she was his girlfriend. Later at the Lightman Group, they are reviewing Scott’s picture and notices that Rebecca is showing fear in the picture. They go back to the base and have Rebecca take a lie detector. Lightman tells that she is going to lie. In the other room, Scott, Lightman and Torres are watching and Rebecca passes the polygraph. At the question of rape, Rebecca tells that he did. Lightman rattles the Sergeant and tells that he would have made her drive lead truck if she did not have sex. He admits to it.

Rebecca is packing her things into the truck and Lightman and Torres are checking out. On the way out Rebecca sees Sheila Lake and salutes. Lake nods as she is being placed into a truck with restraints on. Earl White is playing basketball and Foster comes up. His scholarship was taken away but Foster tells that he did good on his Economics exam and offers him a scholarship to college and finish. Back at the Lightman Group, Torres is wondering how Rebecca past the polygraph. Lightman shows Torres the pills that he gave Rebecca. It is volume and it took the edge off. Torres is shocked that Lightman drugged her so she could lie. Lightman starts to thanks Torres but she picks up. She tells that she doesn’t know the science but she knows a lot. Lightman tells that when you don’t know the science, people can get hurt. She picks up on shame from Lightman and he lies to her and tells her to get use to it. Lightman walks away.
